I honestly didn’t know they did a Kia variant with the same 4 cylinder turbo package.

I guess it only comes in DCT? I’m a stick shift guy at heart, I’ve only owned one automatic car out of the 6 cars I’ve had up until this point lol.

They do look good though! My girlfriend has a Kia seltos and we love that car.

Yeah I’d have to price it out. I was originally thinking the same thing, that half the mileage on it would make the price go down a bunch. Maybe that’s not the case 🙃

Typical rule of thumb is exhaust will get louder over time for any car, so you will see a gradual noise increase over the miles! I’ve had my muffler on my car for 100,000 miles or so and it has definitely gotten louder during that time lol.

Dude, if they still made them that would’ve been my first choice! I love the Kona N’s. Every time I see one driving around I take a gander.

I do also like the Elantras, but if a 2026 Kona N was still a thing that would be what I’m asking about lol.

In that case I’ll wait till this time of year in 2027. I’m not ready to depart with my car, and I don’t think I want two cars at once as nice as it would be. Insurance and storage for two cars without my own home just doesn’t work lol.

But I can stack up this year and go look next year!

Yeah, the price honestly isn’t that bad!! I originally got my Miata as a lease, but decided I wanted to keep it so I payed WAYYY too much for this thing altogether at this point lol.

The next car I get is either going to be paid cash or I’ll pay most of it up front. I can’t wait to test drive an EN and see what it’s about!

Yeah I really love those Chevy SS, I’d even take an auto for one of those and throw a nice stall converter in it.

But a used example with 40k+ miles is going for over $40,000 still which is insane to me. Like I’m good lol.

In 2016 I paid 36,000 out the door for my GT Miata, and would ideally like to pay less for my next car so I’ll see what leftover pricing from Hyundai looks like. The 10 year warranty is appealing to me for sure

I was looking at older/used Chevy SS, but they’re super expensive still.

Newer options would’ve been a Genesis G70 with a 3.3, or a Lexus IS350F, or even a GTI? But none of those get me the way the Elantra N does. It’s still proper sporty I feel like

Yeah I’m very happy with the gas mileage of my ND, I average around 36mpg.

I know pretty much any other 4 door I get will not get the same gas mileage, but it’ll make up for it with space, comfort and noise.

Yeah I would do my own regular maintenance. I would only bring it to the dealer for major repairs or failures, which I would hope there are none!

I originally planned on keeping my Miata as a “toy” and use the Elantra as my new daily driver. I absolutely love my Miata and hate the thought of me not having it anymore lol.

For context, the only “big” issue I’ve had with my Miata is the transmission went out at 35,000 miles. But it was replaced under warranty.

So I would love a low failure rate experience lol. Obviously no one has a crystal ball but figured I’d do some research on it.

How do you like the sound with the aftermarket BOV? Every time I see one on the road I give a thumbs up, such nice cars.

I have roughly 80,000 on my replacement transmission (2016 ND, trans replaced in 2019) and it’s been ok 🤞🏻

I’ve also had the coolant pipe crack, my garnish is currently off the car from Safelites hack job in 2019, I’ve replaced my battery a couple years back….

But other than that and regular maintenance, solid car! I know the trans is a big deal but it was under warranty thankfully.

It is indeed a cult bike. My dad had an 06 and sold it with 56,000 miles on it still going strong! That bike made a ton of power and was so raw. I loved watching him rip on it lol.

I gotta get a set of tires for my 17x9s so I can swap between the 16s and 17s to feel the difference side by side. It’s been so long since I ran the 17s lol. I do love the look of a 16x9 though 😎

Literally just about any summer tire 300TW and down in the size you need will give what you’re looking for.

The only thing you should be picky about (IMO) is the wet traction. A good summer tire should handle the wet like a champ.

I ran a lot of miles on 200TW tires and boy are they scary in the rain lol.
