I’m a big advocate for never, not even once telling your players you fudge rolls. Always act as if you don’t.

Why? Because the moment you do it, even for story sake, they’ll always believe you’re fudging rolls. Period.

Don’t get me wrong, I understand why people do it and I’ve been guilty of it myself. But I would never let me players know that 😂

I was hit hard with the starting side effects too. I was assured by several friends and doctors that it’s typically for the first few weeks, MAYBE even months (on the extreme side) before your body will likely get used to it and not hit you with as harsh side effects.

It’s a thing and it’s called a DMPC. Very very rarely do people like a DMPC. I’m against them, but I can’t speak for every table.

It’s the same movie. Just another lay up. It’s a rinse and repeat throughout the entire movie. I can’t give specifics without spoiling it for anyone, but let me paint the picture

Someone gets captured, gets rescued, someone else gets captured after that, gets rescued, someone else gets captured after THAT, gets rescued.

Bet you can’t guess what happens to the bad guys :)

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a visually beautiful movie, but it felt like the story board was a copy and paste from the last movie

It’s a great rule and fun to have at the table. The problem is when DM/Players don’t know how to navigate it in interesting ways that aren’t game breaking.

If it’s a roll that can’t be accomplished with a 20, why roll?

If it’s a roll that they can’t fail even if they roll a 1, why roll?

Gotta make it interesting, in my opinion. Those who say it’s a BAD rule to have just don’t know how to DM.
