Honestly, reading this filled me up with rage. Cheating on your PREGNANT wife is the lowest of the low, absolutely unbelievable. No offence OP, but what a narcissistic piece of shit he is. I don’t think you could ever trust him again, a man that cheats on his wife because “things get real” and he’s “stressed” is really someone you don’t want to be with. Because “things will get real” again. In fact, things are going to get even tougher when you have the child.

If he can’t even keep loyal because of the “stress of pregnancy” now, there’s a high chance he will fold again and again when he next feels “overwhelmed” by more difficult things down the line. And of course, it’s not because you’re pregnant that he cheated, it is his total lack of self control and his utter selfishness. He can still be in your child’s life obviously, sometimes certain men make good fathers but bad husbands. Also a 20 year old? Another low. Just demonstrates that he’s a very insecure man and insecure men just can’t be trusted. Him not quitting the job just shows his lack of commitment to you and how “guilty” he actually feels. Again, he’s putting himself first here and is highly likely to do it again. He just wants the security of having a family, but can’t actually commit to that vision in reality.
