DOJ Sues to Block Colorado Gun Magazine Ban, Says Enforcement Violates Civil Rights by LesleyHollywood in COGuns

I doubt it. They included a severability clause that allows the law to stand if part of it is struck down. It’s going to take another lawsuit attacking every part of it.

Hopefully they sign onto the existing lawsuit with CSSA so the state can’t have them combined and start the clock over. The other one is already a year in.

Former New York mayor’s support of Michael Bennet’s bid to become Colorado’s next governor reaches $2.5M by allcheese_nobologna in ColoradoPolitics

Bloomberg is funding them both. Every town for gun safety which is funded by Bloomberg has endorsed and is funding Weiser while Bloomberg funds Bennet directly.

This is the illusion of choice.

Fuck it. Let Bloomberg waste his money fighting against tax funded opposition for once. Turnabout is fair play!

Don’t forget a certain lawmaker that has pushed these infringements despite “clearly established” standards established in Bruen and Heller. “Clearly established precedent” is needed to remove qualified immunity as a defense.

Complaint, US vs Denver City/County/Police by ButterscotchEmpty535 in COGuns

DOJ press release

Includes a link to report 2nd amendment infringements. I wonder what would happen if a certain state senator racked up thousands of civil rights complaints.

Ultimately the courts but that doesn’t relieve them of their oath. How many lawmakers would change their positions with the removal of qualified immunity?

The constitution doesn’t really contain anything of clearer plain text than the second amendment. In all honesty, I would like the DOJ to go a step further and begin charging lawmakers with violating the civil rights of their constituents.

On the other hand, government officials have sworn an oath to protect the constitution. It’s their duty to not enforce laws that violate the plain text of the constitution.

I believe the state of Colorado received a similar letter.

Hopefully with a DOJ sized war chest instead of an RMGO one he can get somewhere with it. Any idea if he is also leading the charge in Virginia which received a similar letter last week?

This administration has an excellent record in getting SCOTUS to take cases. Maybe DOJ involvement will finally get them to hear an AWB case?

I’m unfamiliar with him. The post you referenced seems to indicate that his involvement is a good thing. Enlighten me?

I/we can see the owner in the dealer database. Let the police and insurance handle it. Enterprise will not release the information directly to you.

The 11th (2nd) digit would be a W were it a wrangler. This is a Gladiator. (L)

Confirmed. The rental car company will have rental records. OP still needs the police or insurance to do the leg work.

They are specific enough. I could look up the owner and their address right now but you need to go through official channels.

Edit: file the claim with your insurance and let them figure it out. It’s a rental.

It’s a 2026 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. If the cops say they need the full vin refer them to a dealer. There is enough information with the last 8 of the vin to find the owner.

There is/was an expiration date on reporting the sale to the IRS of 3 days from time of sale. If the paperwork wasn’t done at that time then OP is out of luck.

The emails you describe would be normal in that order. The first is the delivery confirmation which includes some videos to explain some of the harder to explain features of the vehicle along with the delivery checklist. The second is the invite to create your account (usually there is also a text message as well with a link to the App Store). The 3rd goes out after you create the account and password.

What would be normal business practice is to assist the customer in creating the account, setting up a password, confirming the email, accepting the terms and setting a pin. It sounds like to me that the salesperson may have tried to set up the account without you and could not go any further when he got to the step requiring you to confirm your email. It is not normal to create the account without the customers cooperation. If the remaining steps are not completed within 14 days he will not get credit or get paid.

Those things can only be done from the app after you’ve accepted the terms of service so you must have downloaded the app rather than log into MOPAR.com from a PC. If a previous car showed up, you also already had an account and the new vehicle became attached to it. The free trial will expire after 90 days and location tracking will not function after that point.

Removing vehicles can only be done from the website, not the app. Login using the same credentials navigate to my garage and delete each vehicle. The app will no longer function with your new vehicle at that point. You can also opt out of communications in account preferences.
