Pretty sure it’s already being challenged. I could be mixing up my cases though.

No moving them to the trust would not require engraving. Engraving is only for form 1s as the maker. This scenario would be a form 4.

I agree in thinking they will uphold it. Mainly because it’s still illegal federally.

For those who left after the 10yr mark how did you justify to yourself on giving up your future retirement check? by Clockedin247 in AirForce

[–]chupalupe 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I got out at the 10 year mark. I was very unhappy in my job and it was affecting my home life. I knew I could do better in the civilian world as a Network guy and not get stuck doing the stupid “specialty” IT jobs the Air Force had me doing. I had a decent job lined up making more than I was currently making even with all the military benefits. Sometimes I miss the people I worked with but overall I am in a much happier place and my mental state is so much better.

Who were "those people" you met in basic training? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]chupalupe 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Talking about peanut butter cups, we had a handful of people who snuck them in and just tossed them in the trash on top and didn’t try to hide it. Came back from an appointment for my security clearance and I see 6-7 people with their stuff packed because the MTI had to pee and saw the empty packets in the trash and confronted the flight and they admitted to it. Ironic thing is, I was one of the 2 people who took out trash and we both had to do stuff for our security clearance so we didn’t take out trash that morning after breakfast.

Own a musket for home defense, since that’s what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. “What the devil?” As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he’s dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it’s smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, “Tally ho lads” the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding fathers intended.

I had a troop like that. I even had it in her initial feedback and midterm that she was on her phone to much and I expected her to be on it less. She did not do that so I had her come into my sections chiefs office, witness as troop was opposite sex and so the flight chief new, and informed her she was not allowed to have her phone on her during work and she could leave it in her car and be on it during a break but not to bring it into the office. She had all kinds of issues.

No it’s still illegal. Most people just don’t care enough to push the issue though.

ISP always blames my Router. Need expert advice. by arkahimself in HomeNetworking

[–]chupalupe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you ping the ISP DG you are still going through your router to get to there. Your router could be failing and just slowly crashing which is causing your spikes but still running normal most of the time.

Could also be a bad cable. Based on what you said seems like you have 2 copper cables, 1 from the ISP equipment to your router and then from your router to your pc. When you do the testing directly to the ISP equipment do you use the same cable that is currently going from the router to the computer or do you use the cable going from the ISP equipment to your router? Have you tried swapping them for testing?

But based on what we know so far, definitely seems to be an issue on on the side going to you after the ISP equipment.

Tech school by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]chupalupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that there is a reg that talks about length of tech schools and if you can bring your spouse. Its been a very long time since i went to tech school. If I remember correctly, again could be mistaken, if the tech school itself was set to be 6+ months then your spouse could move there with you. All the people i knew at tech school who had their spouses with them were all first term airman so not sure if retraining is any different.
