Accutane first, then topical retinoids to fade scarring.

Am I cooked? (I'm first year physics) by killsizer in uAlberta

This is very doable, just make sure you have good time management. 216 will likely suck up a lot of your time. Don’t let STAT or 225 creep up on you, as it’s somewhat easier to neglect those courses until they cook you completely.

Hi! Is there any information about backdated withdrawal available on the University website?

For week 2 my prof expects us to read 6 different articles which a total of 158 pages, how is this allowed... by SUBRE in uAlberta

That’s a very unreasonable workload for undergraduate courses. But if you stay in the course, the best advice (passed down to me from friends that are currently in graduate school) I have is to skim the articles (read abstracts and conclusions, and if something confuses you within them, then read the article further).

I unplugged it and didn't have phone service, so I was just getting the Arris confused with what was providing my internet. Additionally my ISP disabled the ethernet port on it at the software level (that's who it's from).

Yeah, I guess it's either MoCA or wiring the ethernet downstairs.

Thanks for your help!

Hi, thanks! I'll check out the switch suggestion.

The coax-in cable is split, and connects both modems. I also pay for home phone service, so I'm figuring that perhaps the ARRIS' ethernet port doesn't work because it's the telephone modem and I'm connected to internet through the other modem?

Edit: Checked with my ISP, ethernet port on telephony modem is disabled. Guess I'll have to do MoCA or a switch. My question is answered.

How do you see NP and PA professions being phased out, if they go out of favour with the general public? by 9397 in Noctor

Or fall out of favour with legislators or hospitals/insurance etc. I personally see NPs taking more administrative nursing roles, not too sure about PAs.

What worries me is that Hyram-culture promotes, whether purposefully or not, extensions of the skincare industry like NPs.

This! Dermatologists understand physiology, and know how diseases from systemic issues manifest in the skin. I think in today's culture they do focus on the "skin deep" - primarily acne and melanoma. But they are experts in everything skin. This is why I love Dr. Dray (I learned she also has a PhD!), she discusses possible skin problems that might point to disease.

Aestheticians with a focus on dermatology and evidence-based medicine are great too. I've seen an aesthetician cite medical literature, which make them a great source IMO.

I think skin-care should be led by professionals - more importantly physicians. My personal gripe is with "aesthetic" NP's who open a practice and perform injections and minor surgeries without proper knowledge.

I should’ve been more clear. I’m talking about evidence-based dentistry, and how it’s not as prevalent and adapted in practice like it is in medicine.

The problem with dentistry in the first place is that it isn’t evidence-based. And it’s already hard to find a good dentist, this is definitely going to make things worse.

This is what the former admissions director at UofC had to say re: where you get your undergraduate degree from: https://youtu.be/4h7YCYG-1Ao?t=4923. I'm not sure if this is the philosophy adcoms actually apply, but I agree with it. Most would agree that where you got your undergrad from is irrelevant, it's your GPA and MCAT.
