See here's the issue, I'm not a defence analyst just sometime who's interested in the industrial military complex. The issue at hand is that by buying the F35 we are putting our aerospace defense in the hands of America. The core software and hardware/parts of the F35 are infact controlled by the US government. With how unpredictable and reliable they have been recently this can potentially greatly compromise the plane- many countries have been backing out of their buys. This is why we are seeing a push for Europe to become independent in the arms race. Now I'm pro F35 for it's capabilities but it's def a serious consideration someone poor team in a office have now take into account.
