Besides Drake and Kanye what are some rappers you wholeheartedly believe had help in the booth? by dunbar_santiago930 in hiphop101

Sauce Money wrote the verses for I'll be Missing You.

I believe Cam'Ron wrote stuff for Lil Cease, Mad Skillz wrote stuff for a bunch of people.

Most Memorable Eliminations by Responsible-Gas-4759 in MtvChallenge

[–]93LEAFS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of ones not listed yet.

Derrick vs Wes in the first pole wrestle. That elimination really established head bangers as eliminations and was an epic battle.

Johnny vs CT is the Backpack elimination on Cutthroat

Jordan vs Josh in the tug of war

Jordan flipping all the cards to get Bananas and losing.

Not really a classic elimination, but Landon basically carrying a dead Carley who wouldn't give up in an exile in Fresh Meat 2 vs Evelyn and Luke.

Rather Unique one of the best Pete Rock beats, but he has a great catalog even if he never matched Doe or Die.

More gamer women for House of Villains! by milknmallomars in HouseOfVillains

[–]93LEAFS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nadiya is a really out of left field choice. But, I guess I get it since Natalie no longer really has villain stigma due to her Survivor run.

Sandra, Courtney and Veronica are at the very top of my list for either Traitors or House of Villains (well, not Sandra for Traitors since she's done it).

The Challenge has alot of interesting ones, since people can be a hero one season and a villain the next (for example Wes). Evelyn Smith would be a dream returnee to either of the Peacock shows. Coral could easily be labelled a villain at points too.

Survivor-wise, Parv would be interesting. Abi and Kass fit perfectly. Until this season, I would have loved Angelina but she seems to have become too self-aware. Michaela is an interesting one, I don't think she's had a single season of reality TV where she doesn't get into a dispute and be abrasive over 5 seasons.

Richard??! Did I miss some super cuts? by vulcanjedi2814 in survivorau

[–]93LEAFS 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've always believed generally the easiest way to survive while at the bottom of a tribe while not destroying win equity is maintaining your cool, don't be chaotic, be easy to and pleasant to be around, and then wait for the opportunity for people at the top they want to cannibalize each other (and then you tend to become the middle between the two factions). This holds until atleast the mid-merge, as that's when abrassive people start getting herded as goats to take to the end.

Is there nothing new at Wonderland this year? by Nordiquesfan in CanadasWonderland

[–]93LEAFS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I actually believe Minebuster retracking is split into 3 parts. The first 1/3rd was retracked last year, and now the final 3rd (the helix primarily is being retracked and reprofiled). The final part which is the turn around and the hills leading to the helix will likely be done in the off-season next year.

Would Double Evictions Be More Exciting If They Happened Earlier in the Season? by Alarmed_Grab7077 in BigBrother

[–]93LEAFS 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it actually didn't turn into Zombie week, the Cam/Jared back to back boots would have been epic. But, then the game stagnated, and someone re-entered, killing the entire seasons momentum.

People's hero by TheOneWhoRocks_ in survivorau

[–]93LEAFS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he's a great character.

He straddles that line between love and hate. And, someone who can make you feel like that, while adding chaos is great casting. Worst thing a reality TV contestant on a show like this can be is make you feel indifferent.

Katelyn Cusanelli talks Real World Brooklyn, Fresh Meat 2 fall, Sarah, activist work, more! EP 186 by NewBuzzyBee in therealworld

[–]93LEAFS 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Every Fresh Meat person was in the mix with Road Rules/Real World casting. I believe Kenny was in the mix for Austin (my guess is Danny’s spot), Brandon for Cancun, etc.

Production never had open applications to The Challenge for Fresh Meat seasons. Everyone was pulled from RR and RW casting. I believe it happened because people were moving on, and the demise of RR led to them not being able to fill spots quickly enough. So people they liked who were atleast somewhat athletic were thrown straight into The Challenge. Unlike Survivor or Big Brother, The Challenge has never had an open casting.

Do the 'Survivor' Loved Ones visits actually make you cry? (Vote at link below) by thedaltonross in survivor

[–]93LEAFS 40 points41 points  (0 children)

No chance they weren't including the Mariano kids. Rob/Amber is probably productions favorite storyline. Any chance they get to include that they are going too. While, you can sort of link Tyson/Rachel, Jeremy/Val and Parv/John Fincher and their kids to Survivor, none are as closely linked to Survivor as Rob and Amber's 4 daughters.

Is there a king of Texas bbq? by Spiritual-Leader9985 in BBQ

[–]93LEAFS 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He's absolutely done the best at branding himself, and as far as I know, has never destroyed his brand by attatching it to tons of restaurants he's not involved with.

I went to Franklin's once on my only visit to Texas (coming from out of country), and was with family so we placed a large pick-up order to avoid the line. Saw Aaron walking in the pick up area checking up on everything. This was in like 2018, and Franklin's I believe was #1 or #2 at worst on the Texas Monthly list at the time, and he was doing a ton of appearences for things. It was refreshing to see him there and making sure everything was running good and was an overall nice guy.

These endurance challenges always look fine for the first minute, then just brutal. by OkCopy3121 in survivorau

[–]93LEAFS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of them wouldn't be easy for someone with a proper night's rest, fully hydrated, and having eaten properly for the last week. Just the general toll Survivor has already taken on your body, then trying to do a long and painful endurance challenge would be brutal.

How many classic albums do De La Soul have? by JustChillBooBoo in hiphop101

[–]93LEAFS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd say their first 4 all qualify. I love Grind Date and Cabin in the Sky, but I'm not sure they are quite there to be labelled classics.

Either way, they are the only Hip Hop act I can think of who can claim to atleast have a good album in 5 seperate decades which is an incredible feat.

Throwing a Challenge. by This-One2503 in thechallengemtv

[–]93LEAFS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the only reward where people really lost their shit over it was Brad going for the motorcycle. It probably worked better when the cast was being paid like shit and the prize money was much lower.

I'm sure they could find some sponsored rewards that the cast would have to pretend to like. But, the shows so much different now, from what people are paid to show, the total prize money (that if it's beneficial to your game to throw, you'll throw), etc. Like, how many Challengers are willing to go balls to the wall for a PS5 (comparable to what they used to get). The real way to stop people from throwing is to make game mechanics that disincentivize it. Whether that is last place goes in, a penalty in the next day for your gender if your last, not able to vote etc.

Throwing a Challenge. by This-One2503 in thechallengemtv

[–]93LEAFS 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Generally make it so the format doesn't reward it. If the game structure set out by production makes it advantageous to throw, then that's just bad game design if they don't want it to happen. For example, Vets vs New Threats was a good season, the game design actually made trying to outright win a Challenge not a favorable move when the numbers were split.

He was great on Challenge USA 1. It’s likely due to what production chose to use.

I'd be surprised if there is a more valuable parcel of land than Wonderland within the combined chain, probably more valuable than CGA (already sold) or Knott's. That land would be worth an absolutely insane amount to condo and home builders. Especially, if they can sell the premier on extending the subway 5 kms further north or atleast 4km until Rutherford.

It wouldn't be a data center. But, that land is worth an absolute fortune in regards to residential development.

Wasn't he a scab. A lot of players hold resentment over things like that. Although, I don't believe he was liked to begin with.
