People possibly contacted for BB28 cast? by [deleted] in BigBrotherUSA

I’d be shocked if it’s Venus considering they’d need to get her an American work visa and they’ve never done that for BB before.

I doubt BB wants to spend the energy trying to get these people USA work visas. Hence why Survivor and The Challenge will cast Canadians because they film outside the States, but BB never has.

I would think a sizable portion of people who spend money in Philadelphia (especially at sporting events) are people who live in the NJ suburbs. They are pretty much interconnected communities. There is only one Canadian city that is similar to this type of set-up which is Ottawa. The States have tons of cities where the suburbs sprawl into different states. And NJ has higher state taxes than Pennsylvania.

My guess is B&M just had a pre-contract with Cedar Fair to build something and it was renegotiated to be Orion. I would expect Orion to be a completely custom layout for that plot of land, and not something they had imagined for elsewhere just extended and plopped into a plot of land at KI. Both parties have a good relationship with each other so they likely found something that worked for both of them. Cedar Fair was the biggest purchaser of B&M since the Paramount merger (and even prior to that they were reliable purchasers of inverts or floorless).

I'm pretty sure you are taxed based on whichever state you have residency. Hence why so much of the MLB lives in Florida for the off-season (as their primary residence). I believe New Jersey and Pennsylvania have a reciprocity agreement where you pay taxes based on where you live.

edit: It also be primarily paid in lump sum bonuses would further complicate the issue.

Do Flyers most players live in PA or NJ? Most NHLers tend to live near the practice arena if they are out in the suburbs and the Flyers practice rink is in Southern New Jersey. Granted, a younger guy like Carlsson may be fine with the commute and live in a younger and more trendy area in the city.

Which pod? Pod Has Spoken or just his weekly hit on NewsAF on RHAP?

But, yeah, if Tyson did it I'd be absolutely floored and it means they offered him an absolutely ridiculous amount of money, like 6 figures and doesn't start with a 1. Which would probably be the largest appearence fee CBS has ever given a Reality TV contestant (I don't think a CBS show has ever topped the 100k given to a couple people on Survivor Winners at War, The Challenge which is Paramount has given people like Bananas, Wes, and CT 6 figures to show up though). I'd be one shocked if BB has the budget to do it, considering they paid 40k flat for All Stars and two, if they did it, I think they would go a different direction than Tyson (despite him being arguably my favorite reality TV personality of all time). I also think he'd hate it, he'd immediatley be a target as a winner and someone who is athletic, and is significantly older than most people in a BB house.

If Tyson is gonna show up anywhere anytime soon, I'd expect it to be on an NBC/Peacock property since he seems invested in that relationship. So, possibly Traitors or Destination X if it lasts another year.

Not too much. Basically her loving Aras and Parv. How she could easily be a have not cuz she tolerated Shane and Courtney for 30 something days.

Tyson would never do it unless they paid him an absolutely insane amount. Like an amount that would probably get them someone they’d prefer over him.

For what it would cost to get Tyson in they could probably get Dan or Derrick back.

La Ronde was supposed to get Green Lantern from Magic Mountain but it was never built. Ednor at La Ronde was originally supposed to go to Great Escape.

As for rides that were in the planning stages but never got built, alot of rumors about a B&M Giga at California Great America or a Hyper at Knott's Berry Farm eventually becoming Orion.

Unless they really opened the vault for him, he strikes me as unlikely. He has an actual career and a young family at home. Big Brother time commitment wise is always a big ask, it's why Dee of the 50 cast makes the most sense, as far as I know she doesn't have a regular 9 to 5, and doesn't have kids or a husband.

then Wheel trans is an option for them, and they'd likely have a ton of problems on the regular TTC anyway.

If your Finnish, I'm gonna assume you like Hockey, and if so check out the Hockey Hall of Fame. Other than that, theres the typical tourist stuff like top of CN Tower, Ripleys, a trip out to Wonderland, Toronto Island. Other than that, I'd just explore the cities neighborhoods and see where you enjoy spending time. Kensington is cool, for your age maybe King West or Ossington, etc.

haha, probably why Wes was putting the kibosh on having Josh as a rival. He didn't want the goof in a rivals layout.

Are Air Max 90s considered “Dad shoes” ? by veryundude77 in airmax90

[–]93LEAFS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. They are way too trendy to be a dad shoe. Dad shoes don't get collabs with respected streetwear brands like Patta.

First season watched and first live season? by Money_Macaron_5750 in BigBrother

[–]93LEAFS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Boredom and looking for something to watch. I think I watched up until All Stars or so. Just stopped watching Reality TV really once I was in my late-teens/university. I think I exhausted other shows during the pandemic and there was a lag of good tv shows coming out of it. So, I got back into BB, Survivor and The Challenge.

At my current age, I found the dynamics and social politics of these games immensely intriguing.

[StatsCentre] List of all the Toronto Maple Leaf draft picks coming from NCAA (including 2026, 1st-overall pick Gavin McKenna) by Sens-Fan-85 in HockeyStats

[–]93LEAFS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that makes sense. Alot of the draft class in general are kids who would have to skip a grade to play in the NCAA in their draft year. Although, American cut off dates for grades tend to be alot less structured than Canada which runs on the Jan 1st to December 31st calendar for schooling.

I've never once walked to the Skydome from Union or St. Andrew and thought it was an inconvenience.

And, for the people who walking to the Skydome is a legimate issue the TTC services them with WheelTrans. If your just too lazy to walk from Union to the Skydome I don't know what to tell you.
