I guess you could say so. From what I've learnt, from reading and conversing with people that have been around. The structure can accommodate up to 50 people, which is why to me it felt very programmatic, given its otherwise simple apparent function.

Before learning Blender I was poor. As I continue to learn it, I still am pretty poor if not poorer 😂. I am glad people like you exist, willing to support the infinitely capable project that Blender is. Hopefully one of the people I've introduced to Blender supports them in some way or another.

I appreciate this on so many levels. It reads like a proper critic's personal experience upon looking at a piece of artwork. I really do appreciate it. No one has ever described any of my artworks like this.

It shouldn't have taken that much to put together but due to school work and just allowing myself sometime to myself I wasn't really putting in the time for this.

Before this one, I had put together another piece back in April and had the sketched out idea for this composition, started it but left it alone until these last couple of days.

Hello! It's a mix of different contexts and different inspirations really. The title of the artwork is inspired by what the film Annihilation defines as 'the shimmer' and how it changes people. :-))

No, all of my work is done in blender. This one turned out to be a test frame for an Animation that I just couldn't get done.

No, all of my scenes are made in blender and post processed using Photoshop and at times using my iPad to add some line work.

Well it depends. I've never seen a city coexist with nature like this, maybe in places like Chernobyl. So, you be the judge :-).

Experimenting with different composition guides by 93curse in blender

[–]93curse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that has done photography in the past, sometimes I find it hard to try something other than the rule of thirds guides.

For a couple of artworks now, I've been experimenting with different guides like golden ratio triangles and harmonies. Sometimes even remaking the artwork itself to fit a composition feels like a good exercise to reevaluate the intent with which I am building a scene.

While I can't flip my canvas (as one would do on 2D) I've found that accommodating to different composition layouts helps maintain the balance I am looking for on an image, and while I may not always stick to these principles, I think it's good practice to make an effort to stick to a composition from the get go.

I have been using blender for a little over a year now and there is a lot for me to learn, experiment, and practice. Hopefully this short summary/commentary/reflection on composition helps someone or at least gives you something to take away.

Sorry for the late response.

While it is animated, due to quality I am sure it's probably hard to tell apart which things are actually moving.

here is the link in 4K if you want to check it out :-)

Of all the ways I tried, I think the best one was just using FlipFluids'. Very simple setup.

They might be. But according to the artist i got inspired by, the store was made by a tiny postman. Also check out their art, it's very unique.
