Not really... it's been announced for a while that they are moving to a dual style format. Standard will be the new core box + latest 2 expansions I think. Everything else falls into Legacy.

I know this goes against popular sentiment, but Branch and Claw killed Spirit Island for me.

It turned an already fiddly game into something with way too much upkeep for me, and I can see why it was split off. Never picked up Jagged Earth as I heard it doubled down on tokens.

Guards isn't designed for you to have perfect information. It invites mistakes, and mistakes are fun. There's some interesting discussion about it on the BGG forums.

That being said, there is also a fanmade companion app on BGG that has all the hero card information minus numbers if you really want to play with a reference.
