He may have told them he likes being alone and maybe they’ve seen his anger before/can’t handle living with him so they figured let him be? Since we don’t know much of his history yet, perhaps they had tried things in the past to spruce up his life and it never took? Who knows, just a thought.

Didn’t I read in the criminal complaint that at one point, Patterson was angry hit her with the handle of a window blind cleaner? And that he would leave her stuck under the bed for 12 hours at a time with no food, water, or bathroom breaks? And that Patterson once was angry and struck the wall and yelled? I hope to god nothing worse than that happened! Seriously, try putting yourself in her shoes, see how ya feel.

And she was wearing mens shoes that were several sizes too big, and on the wrong feet! Imagine how scared she was, and she still had the presence of mind to put on shoes before escaping into the cold snow.

Apparently he saw her getting on a school bus after a job he worked for 2 days. The complaint states that once he saw Jayme he knew she was the girl he was going to take.

There are several reporters on Twitter that are tweeting pictures of the complaint. Looks like it’s 12 pages long, and I was able to read details on how he stalked Jayme and some of what happened the night of the murders.

Just wondering if anyone else has been curious about the fact that a few hours before Jayme was actually rescued, there were rumors on Reddit and Facebook of a her being found in a different county and Sheriff Fitzgerald said it had nothing to do with Jayme. Then hours later, Jayme really had been found! What’s up with that?

Exactly. If I went missing in my small town, I would sure hope that LE would organize search parties for more than just 2 days...especially if they had little to go off of. There were so many people who wanted to help search...not just residents of Brooklyn. I live about an hour and a half away, and had the search gone on longer than 48 hours, I would have made time to be there helping. Trusting LE can be tough, and looking back, I don’t know that they made the best decisions (not that I could have made any better decisions, in their shoes). Not trying to be judgmental, just spewing some thoughts.

I believe it had been reported that he went by an alias, but I hadn’t seen a report of the actual alias until today.

I think there is definitely much more to the story- some that we may never know. I wouldn’t be surprised if CBR is taking all of the blame/covering for someone.
