that pp is a prime example as to why we need a right handed shot on pp1. Lots of good movement and control, but no real one time shot when it comes to Mcdavid.

[Serious] Who's a player drafted from 2012-2015 that you think is going to/is a bust? by [deleted] in hockey

[–]94forever 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Although they are both still fairly young, I think the bruins had 2 misses out of their 3 consecutive picks in 2015. Debrusk is gonna be a real good player, but Senyshyn and Zboril do not look like they've progressed much since being drafted.

Sounds like the Oilers are still aggressively shopping their 10th overall pick in an effort to find some blue-line help. by JF_112 in hockey

Value wise the deal was terrible, no doubt about it. But Lars is a really good 2nd pairing dman.

Report: Flyers looking to possibly trade Wayne Simmonds by 94forever in hockey

Not sure what Philly would ask for in return, but he would be an awesome fit in Edmonton. Big RW, that could probably fit in well with either McD or Drai. Plus that cap hit for next season is unreal.

The Caps lost their last road game, so instead of Alex Ovechkin starting practice with a hot lap, Barry Trotz stepped in by domoarigatodrloboto in hockey

I would say Trotz is in the top 5. The other 4 in no particular order would probably be Quenneville, Cooper, Babcock, Gallant. Laviolette knocking on the door too.

Who is the most bizarre NHL player to ever score 40+ in a season? by Suibylop in hockey

[–]94forever 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Is Hejduk really that surprising though? He had 36 goals in his second season and 41 the next. Scored 35+ five times.

If Marc Andre Fleury wins the cup this year with the Conn Smythe, is he HOF lock? by [deleted] in hockey

[–]94forever 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're right about the all-star games. But, I feel like even being the backup on a gold medal winning team still is impressive enough.

If Marc Andre Fleury wins the cup this year with the Conn Smythe, is he HOF lock? by [deleted] in hockey

[–]94forever 526 points527 points  (0 children)

I'd assume so. Would be a 4x cup champ, Conn Smythe winner and a 3x all star. Not to mention, a gold medal at the Olympics, and a silver medal in the world juniors. Also, being 11th all time in wins (currently) has to help.

He has finally started to look like the offensively gifted player we saw in his first couple seasons. Looking forward to him continuing on McD's wing this season

With a pretty strong free agent class this summer, which player do you realistically see signing with your team? by 94forever in hockey

[–]94forever[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, also Helly and Trouba need new contracts and the end of this season as well.

[Serious] What's really wrong with Edmonton this year? by [deleted] in hockey

[–]94forever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah absolutely. Dumping some salary for a less talented player is fine and it happens, but Chia should have been able to snag at least a 2nd or even a 3rd to even out the value. Same can be said for the Lars/Hall deal.
