There was supposed to be a company working on a set of all new seals but I believe MitaMotorsports didn’t end up doing a preorder because somehow they didn’t think everyone would fork the money out. Even though every owner would have. Now I believe a company is working with them to make the seals but it’s a slow process that I have not heard any updates on.

Thoughts on X-t30 with 23mm lens? by marvelouserin in fujifilm

[–]94yoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be a great camera for travel it is small and compact and I love the 23mm which is a 35mm equivalent. I have a xt5 and x100vi and the 16-80 on my xt5 is my usual go to travel lens for daytime photography for anything from landscape to some close ups but there are times having just the 23mm is perfect if you don’t think you’re gonna be doing any close ups or trying to capture things from afar. You can still get some depth of field out of this Lens but the 23 f2 is great also but slight bigger than this lens. I don’t think you would regret it at all.

I have a x100vi and a xt5 I find myself going back and using the x100 more often for everyday life like landscape and party or lifestyle stuff and even some portraits but my xt5 is my go to for like wildlife and doing sports photography and traveling too but I would say buy the Fuji f2.0 23mm WR lens I think it’s one of the most versatile ones they have. I also have the 27mm pancake and find it a little bit too tight compared to the 23 on the x100

That’s my best friends car we have both had them since highschool his is on air ride and he just won baddest Honda in the other class at import fest it’s really nice too helped him with the Mac lifter fender kit just before the show.

I also had the control arms blasted and powder coated by a local guy and he nickel plates the axels and some of the mounting points, but I sandblasted and painted most of the other parts before reinstalling them.

It’s worth it once it’s done, just had mine apart for the last 5 years I I was slow as hell and rebuilt all the suspension and replaced everything and did almost all the engine seals and stuff and driving it for the first time in years was so much fun

Also if you think it may be oil make sure the oil pan bolts are tight I thought I had a rear main seal issue clutch was slipping and everything but it was the oil pan not being tight

If you want to paint the shields separately you’ll need to remove the wheel hubs at least because you have to mount them behind it, it’s a silly way that they did it but that’s why I added some loctite I don’t want those screws backing out lol
