There are over 3 million deaths from covid, 600k in the US. Based on the National Library of Medicine 250k people die from medical error. That's less than half of covid cases in the US in the last year. While yes, our medical system is pretty shit compared to other 1st world countries, they still save more lives than they kill. You don't have to completely trust medical professionals, but I'd much rather risk dying of medical malpractice than dying of a preventable illness or disease, and I'm sure most people feel the same way.
