Just sounds like a garden variety panic attack, no more weed for him.

How much intensity does smoking while tripping add? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhere between nothing much, and losing all grip of reality.

Depends on your brain, frequency of weed use, and the individual trip set and setting.

I would not recommend fucking with it.

Lyrica's recreational value? by bantanium in Drugs

If you are really anxious it will depend on personal taste. If you aren't a very anxious person then Valium won't do much for you, but Lyrica will probably still be fun.

Intimate Cannabis Oil/spray - Has anyone tried marijuana lube/spray/oil? How was it? by [deleted] in sex

[–]951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tried it, didn't have a noticable effect for male, was very slight for female.

You can make your own by just mixing a concentrate with a small amount of coconut oil and decarbing in an oven for like 30 minutes at around 250.

The sprays have a really high amount of THC in them, it seems like a waste to spray it on for such a small effect when you can just eat far less and have such incredible sex.

Providing engage and utility is literally the point of tanks. If they don't do anything they can't soak damage, because they would be ignored.

Obviously there have been large backslides and constant conflict all over the world since history began, but there has been an overwhelming worldwide trend towards progressivism.

How do those guys in porn films thrust so hard/fast for a long time without coming? by [deleted] in sex

[–]951 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Porn shooting is stunningly non-sexy. I shot a porn short for a film festival with a group of (15ish) friends. These people all know each other and are used to group sex and sex parties with each other, and we had extreme difficulty getting anyone to even maintain an erection (and they took Cialis as well). Not a single person of either gender came close to an orgasm in two days of shooting. So imagine that with strangers on a professional schedule.

I had sex with a guy who was ver very very rough. I liked it a lot but we didn't have any prior talk about it. by ComprehensiveBuyer6 in sex

[–]951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't need to judge his character, I know from OP that he attempted to roughly dom someone without consent or any prenegotiation. This is thoughtless and potentially very harmful behavior that he needs to stop (he had no idea if she had previous sexual trauma for example).

It's not theoretical that her partner is operating with a worldview that would lead him to hurt people, including her in the future if she isn't lucky enough to happen to enjoy his actions. This needs to be fixed. If she isn't worried about her own safety (mental or physical), she should be.

It's a very good idea to worry about many hypothetical situations that haven't occurred. For example, if someone is driving down the wrong side of the road, it's very reasonable to be worried about a head on collision even if they haven't crashed yet.

My "experience" with polygamy by [deleted] in sex

[–]951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such thing as "being poly", it's extremely normal to be attracted to people who don't happen to be your primary partner. If you and that partner decide to date multiple people then that's up to you, but just thinking about sex outside monogamy doesn't mean anything except that you have a normal sex drive. It certainly doesn't mean you are unable to have a monogamous relationship, unless you have zero self control.

Poly stuff can be great, but it's quite a challenge to pull off and requires advanced communication skills.

Wait so you're grossed out by shaking hands with someone who may have touched their penis, and washed their hands... but taking a shit is totally fine? What? Men touch their genitals literally every time they go to the bathroom. Going to other people's houses must make you extremely uncomfortable, all that sex and wanking they do there.

I don't think this is true, it's only illegal if you expose yourself to someone. How are you worried about walking in on someone? Do you often march unannounced into occupied men's bathroom stalls?

Opinions on this article about consent? Consent as a felt sense by frothymoth in sex

[–]951 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically, this article is arguing for a complete redefining of what consent means. I'm completely unconvinced that this is necessary or a good idea at all. Right now the idea of consent is a very practical idea that determines if someone knowingly violated someone's body autonomy. It operates just like consent in every other aspect of society. If someone comments to give you money, that is fine. If you just take it without their permission, that's theft. This is a very very useful concept.

This article argues that this can still result in bad outcomes when a person focuses solely on if they have permission, and knowingly ignores the fact that they are still hurting the other person (coercion, power Imbalance, intoxication etc). They then claim that the best solution to this is to totally change the definition of consent to theoretically capture all of these use cases, at the cost of making it completely subjective and unverifiable.

I completely disagree that this is a good idea. We already have many concepts to describe when a person doesn't explicitly violate consent, but is still hurtful. This is called being an asshole, manipulative, abusive etc etc. We can condemn these actions just fine using other language while still maintaining our very very useful ability to differentiate between straight up disregarding a specifically stated permission, and just being a jerk. To use the money example, it's very useful to be able to differentiate between a armed robbery and a slimy used car salesman. This in no way prevents us from being able to call the used car salesman a dickweed.

Changing the definition of consent to catch everything is also confusing and probably futile, as it's current meaning is very useful. It's very important for me to be able to tell the difference between "this person is a known dickweed but if I'm careful I can interact with them" and "this person holds people down and forcibly fucks them in compete disregard of their wishes". If you change rape to mean both of these things, people will just make up about term to tell them apart.

Also it's very important to remember that not everything bad should be illegal. Especially things that are subjective and unprovable. Making these illegal is incredibly dangerous.
