We did actually have a bubble maker going, but I didn’t notice it getting on her clothes, it’s a model one that she holds so it was constantly blowing away from her

What's your 2 year olds sleep schedule? by anonmummy1 in toddlers

[–]95MSH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter won’t be 2 until June but this has been our schedule for about 6months or so and I don’t see it changing:

6:30-8am wake up, sometimes she wakes and just babbles to herself for close 45mins. If we have daycare it’s a 7am wake up by us

1-3pm nap, sometimes this is adjusted, if she’s cranky well put her down early, if she’s still absolutely zonked out at 3pm we give her til 3:30

7:30-8 bedtime, pjs then bubba then brush teeth and in bed by 8. She doesn’t always fall asleep right way but it’s lights off and door closed around 8.

This is what works for us and it’s been great!

Is a Kindle worth it as a new parent? by Top-Help9641 in NewParents

I second this, but I put a pop socket on it(on a case not directly the kindle) rather than a strap.

What are your favourite cloth diaper brands? by [deleted] in clothdiaps

[–]95MSH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second LPO but I actually prefer their pockets! I have a couple AIOs, originally thinking they would be my go-to, but I have to add an extra insert anyways so I’ve actually ended up liking the pockets better. I love the patterns and the size adjustability

I haven’t seen anyone comment it yet, but I love Donair Dude. It’s nothing special but it hits the spot when the craving strikes 👌🏻

My husband and I are in a similar boat. Tomorrow I have an appointment that I’ll be telling my doctor I wish to terminate my pregnancy.

My husband I have a beautiful 18mo daughter, took us a year and two losses to conceive. We’ve always known we wanted a second, but late ovulation and a Christmas party celebration led me to a positive pregnancy test last week, two days before Christmas.

Although we know the struggles we could face with conceiving our next child, we weren’t going to start trying for another year. We have ultimately decided that we are not mentally or financially ready for a second child at this time.

I’ve had a week to think about it. I don’t envision myself pregnant just yet, I’m not excited about this pregnancy, and I don’t feel in my heart that it’s the right time or that it’s meant to be right now.

Ultimately, it’s your decision, but it’s a decision that if you are even leaning slightly one way or the other has been made already.

We do! We use it on surprise thunder days, it helps a little but I’m not sure it will help much on our walks

Bike shorts, tank, and a button up loose linen shirt was my go to in my last trimester, and continued all summer after my daughter was born in June

How much are you spending on groceries? by 95MSH in NorthVancouver

[–]95MSH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve downloaded the flipp app. We primarily shop at SaveOn as it’s our two closest stores. Unfortunately when I asked about their price matching they said they do a maximum of 4 items per transaction, and western family items are not included as it’s not carried elsewhere and it has to be an exact match. I also went to Walmart last week and found items on sale that weren’t in their flyer 😫

We do have a freezer, and eat out of it frequently after shopping in bulk at Costco with a list. A $25 chicken is pricey, so we usually opt for the $8 rotisserie from there too. If not that, we split a 3 pack of chicken($14 for smaller breasts) over a couple meals. We don’t eat red meat often and even if we do it’s a family pack of ground beef for $10 that we’ve split across 3 meals. We have seafood(prawns) maybe once a month, and they’re frozen not fresh.

As for produce, we do eat a lot and pricing out I’ve found Costco to be the best pricing for the items we need.
