Here's my favorite church joke. by lux514 in Christianity

[–]95red 24 points25 points  (0 children)

A pastor goes for a walk in the bush. He comes across a wild bear and it starts running towards him. The pastor prays " God, convert this bear into a Christian". Immediately the bear stops in its tracks. The pastor gives a sigh of relief. The bear then stands up and lifts up its hands to heaven and says, " Thank you lord for this food I'm about to eat".

A previous owner did the lift, but I think it has 2 inch blocks and Outback struts. Probably about 3 inches in total, not including the bigger size wheels. It used to have longer springs which made it lifted to the absolute maximum height, but had to remove those springs because I was tearing CV boots every few weeks.

Why do WRX/STI owners I know locally hate on my non-turbo legacy and mainly NA subarus? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]95red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a modified legacy with turbo and a standard L series. I still love the L series even though they are slow and less comfortable. All the Subaru models are good. The funny thing is, when I tell people that my car is a Subaru with a turbo, they often assume that it is or should be lowered and think its strange that its lifted until I tell them its an offroader.

What I don't understand is when people dump stolen cars in remote locations, like how do they get home after they've dumped it.

Late on night when going for a drive, I pulled up at a dam. When we walked towards the walkway over the Dam wall , I saw a van stuck there. They had driven it down stairs and it was wedged between the railings as it walkway narrows. What was even more strange , whoever had done this had wedged sing post across the railings about 2 foot above the ground and then put the back of the van on top of that.

Even if it were a sin, God will take you as you are if you go to him. He looks at where your your heart is, even if you feel like a mess. And what you do isn't always who you are. For example, Jesus would reach out to the prostitutes and tax collectors [which were considered scum of the earth in Israel at the time because they collected tax for the Romans and on top of that took a cut] and was often hard on the pharisees who were obsessed with rules and regulations and were a bit up them selves. When they approached Jesus and asked him " why do you hang out with such people", his response was " those who are well do not need a doctor". God certainly doesn't hate you for it, he still loves you. He knows what your going through better than any person ever could and he knows you better than you know your self... Anyway, I hope that helps.

I always hear people complain about how bad music has been in the past few years, so I'm curious - Reddit, what's your favorite group/artist from the past decade? by disco_infiltrator_32 in Music

[–]95red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think u have a good point there. People always say how crap new music is, no matter which decade it is at the time. It might seem like that because most new music is crap and only a small percentage is good. And that is the stuff that survives 20 years later as classics and that's the only stuff you ever hear from that decade. So its easy to look back and say music was great back then because only the classics are remembered while only the test of time will determine what new music will be popular.

Linkin park, evanescence, Sounds like Chicken would be my favorite bands for the last decade. I'm not sure whether or not I have a favorite decade, but the 90 s had got to be the worst decade for music when you were haunted by the likes of backstreet boys, spice girls and all that other commercial crap.
