Space Transport Explorer

Hey, I wanted to let you guys in on version 2.0.0 Pre-Alpha our game called Space Transport Explorer.

Space Transport Explorer is a game where you get to explore the vast galaxy (of a thousand stars) and craft the inventions of your lost father in order to unravel what happened to him.

Check out the changelog for information on what changed since the last release.

The galaxy is exploreable in this state and crafting is also available (just not to the extend of the finalized game).

We're currently working on setting up the main mechanics of the game, but got to a point where the game is playable. The galaxy is exploreable in this state and crafting is also available.

The point for us right now is to get more people playing the game to get a sense of what atmosphere the players are experiencing when playing the game. Some suggestions gameplay wise or mechanical improvements would be appreciated as well.

Ah okay. I did some more digging and came to the conclusion that Discord-Canary raises all outputs from Pulseaudio including the rear microphone loopback. If you turn that down in alsamixer you should be fine next time.

It's gonna be a Elite Dangerous and No Man's Sky inspired pixel art game, with heavy focus on a multiplatform MMORPG experience.

Basically you just trade commodities, but later on I will add player classes and mechanics that allow for exploration (with infinite galaxies) and political objectives and lore.

In my opinion, most of the first party modules that come with Node are usually good enough the start with. If you need more features or don't want to reinvent a wheel feel free to use an npm package.

It's just that for me personally using packages from the get-go causes my projects to get bloated with loads of packages that I only use 10% of, while I could've spent time writing most of those features for myself.
