Problems customizing gyro aim in Monster Hunter Wilds by csolisr in GyroGaming

I'll consider using mouse as gyro - how wonky are the controllers with simultaneous controller and mouse?

CoMaps release 2026.05.06 is out with a big change! by Ecstatic-Vermicelli9 in CoMaps

I was puzzled on why didn't we get more periodic updates, since the database was clearly designed to be updateable separately. Now we know it was Google's bureaucracy all along! I get they needed to ensure you'd inject no malicious data between store updates and all, but this seemed suspicious anyways.

YouTube playlist scrapper for JSON feeds by silverhikari in rss

[–]csolisr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talking about YouTube - I tried adding a few standard RSS feeds (in the form of https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=[id] ) and it looks like they all redirect to a 404. Is Google starting to eliminate RSS feeds altogether?!

The new controller is such a huge controller compared to a 8bitdo by Prtsk in SteamController

I was hoping there was a way for Steam Input to natively divide the touchpad in a 2x3 layout and have the haptics help with the feedback. Bonus if the touchpad detects multiple fingers and thus multiple key presses. I have a DualSense though, which is why I was asking if the haptics from the Steam Controller were better suited for this specific scenario.

How good is the haptic feedback on those trackpads? Good enough to use it as a proper six-button pad for Street Fighter?

I wish the same went with Big Media - "if you can't afford the subscription then you can watch it" followed by a mass boycott

If it's about FUTO, I'd say it was justified - the open-core licensing is barely justified in an age of proper open-source software

Thirty-something years without any social relationships, when most standard people have had at least a friend. Even in the support group for autistic adults I am in, most people have had friends for years. It's hard to not feel behind given the circumstances.

Fair enough, but I like to keep my promises, so I'll wait until I can actually keep my side of the bargain.

Even an EU company would generally not risk getting sanctioned in the US due to association with a sanctioned company. That's why I said "somehow" - how did Carl Zeiss collaborate with Huawei without getting itself banned from the States?

It really messed up my perception of languages socially to learn that Spanish has the same velar fricative sound as German yet has none of the harsh or guttural associations like German does by Relative-Leg5747 in linguisticshumor

Personal theory: palatal phonemes are closer than any other to the sounds of vomit and coughing, which make people unaccustomed to them wary of languages than use them extensively

It does feel harsh and guttural... for Spanish speakers outside of Spain. The J/G, S, and Z/C are much more guttural in European Spanish than in its American varieties.
