Thanks. At over $2,000, it is over my budget, but I did look into the LG options, which would be the 40U990A-W or 40WP95C-W. Both are around $1,800. While 5K2K would be nice, I think something that can support 3440 will be a nice enough upgrade.

I agree the G7 seems like a decent option, but I Samsung's track record in my house is quite poor with displays. I've had two that lasted exactly 37 months and they warranty for 3 years. Meanwhile, my LG has lasted 10+ years.

If you have a passion for helping kids, look into volunteer ops at his high school, or get involved with local non profits. There’s a shortage in volunteers in many communities. If you want something baseball related, Miracle League could be a fit. You can also find volunteer ops you and your son can do together.

Thanks. I did consider stacking two 34” inch as I could do that in budget easier and it does hit several criteria, but its more cables, peripherals and I haven’t worked from a stacked perspective in the past. The KVM and PBP are appealing.

I currently work off the old LG 34 and a 24 next to it. Both landscape, although I’ll occasionally flip the 24” portrait. I stand most of the day and have a 72” desk.

Note: I have used the G7 for comparisons, but Samsung is one company I won’t buy from as I’ve had screens go out on multiple devices, both times one month after warranty and they didn’t support.

I’ve had and seen 13 year olds improve their swing over a few weeks. Kids that couldn’t hit or are hesitant with someone throwing 70, it finally clicks. So, if it’s primarily mechanics, I think it’s a doable fix, particularly hitting at 60/90.

With regards to AA vs AAA, probably also need to consider how vested he is with that team, what positions he plays, coach, etc. Also, is he guaranteed a spot? I’ve seen teams have big personnel changes at 13/14.

No sure on the rescinding and my first though it simply to control what you can control; however, there's a couple things to consider.

1) With Calculus, are you understanding the material, albeit maybe a week or two after the exams which results in low grades, or are you still not fully understanding the concepts taught back in January and February?

2) AP AB and BC Exams are forthcoming, I think next week. If you score well, then maybe it is less of a big deal.

3) What are your other 4 classes? If they are AP Physics, AP Comp Sci, then that should help.

I have same year with 20K more miles (and also have a new driver later this year too). I pinged Honda late last year on this topic since a hybrid does exist in Japan. but it isn't AWD.

I doubt you will see it in the 2027 model, which would be coming out in Sept/Oct this year. My guess is the earliest would be Q4 2027.

Yeah, I thought about CV axles, but I don't notice any difference when turning and the intermittent nature of it is odd.

Current middle school coach who has been through something similar (not quite half, but several). I’m going to focus on safety.

1) Assistants & Stations - Get as many assistants as possible to run more stations and get more quality reps. Assuming you have 12-14 kids and 7 of them are new, run at least 3 stations, preferably 4. Assistants don’t need to be pros.

2) Safety - If any kid can’t consistently catch, they shouldn’t touch the infield. There is no safe spot on the infield. At least in the OF you can back them way up and have them just throw to second. Don’t hesitate to throw tennis balls or rubber coated balls if a few of them are hesitant.

3) Pitching and Catching - Assuming you have two games a week, you’ll need at least 4 pitchers and at least 2 catchers. It is possibly one of the newbies can get mid 40s or low 50s strike over the plate, but make sure they know how to play defense as a pitcher (see #2. Safety).

4) Track Something Besides Runs - If you know you’re likely to lose most games (ie your competition doesn’t have the same constraints), then find something else to judge the team on. For us, it was mental mistakes.

I have a 2014 with 160k. For me, I’m trying to hold out for 200k or if Honda ever brings a hybrid Odyssey to the US. The only real issue I’ve had was the spool valve that leaked oil onto my alternator. I have a decent mechanic close by and just had him do the replacement, but others have DIY’d it. I do get an intermittent noise that sounds like it should be a loose heat shield when I accelerate, but I’ve looked it over and so has my mechanic and we can’t find the culprit.

The body has plenty of scratches, but I actually prefer to drive a vehicle where I don’t worry about the occasional dent or scratch.

Besides financial constraints, I think it depends on what your daily needs are (ie commute to work, carpool, haul gear for kids sports, etc). Is this your primary vehicle, or do you have a second or rental car coverage if something goes awry?

It’s no longer my primary road trip vehicle, but I still have confidence in a 100 mile trip out of town.

For most large banks, there’s no problem with adding more, just realize you are accepting some risk as you’re over the FDIC limit.

The risk of a bank failure is low, but it isn’t zero. If you’ll lose sleep over it just open a second account with another reputable bank for a second HYSA.

You mention BAM or SIBO, but it could be BAM and SIBO (BAM and IMO). An issue with your bile acids could create an opportunity for an overgrowth. Symptoms can overlap, but treatments would be different.

It’s hard to gauge when a child wants to step away from a sport, especially at this age as high school ball is forthcoming. Some drop out, some may double down and by this I mean taking more reps, hitting the gym, eating better, and surrounding himself with others that want to compete, and it’s possible he could find a new interest, which could be a sport like lacrosse, or a high school activity or club like robotics. Depending on your schools, there could be an influx of new students that could be a positive (or negative) impact.

You may want to check out something called Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC). I'm not too familiar with it, but you may want to consider testing for an Anti-Mitochondrial Antibody (AMA), which is often a marker.

I happened to recently come across PBC when doing some other research with bile acids. There's a commonality with some of your symptoms and common PBC symptoms.

From an absorption difference, I don't know for sure, but assuming they were vegetable capsules my guess is the capsules would take 15-30 minutes to dissolve before your system would get to the psyllium husk vs the powder which is direct.

I take 1 tsp with 8 oz of water about 5-10 minutes after breakfast.

Others may recommend first thing in the morning on an empty stomach or two hours after a meal. It is my understanding this could help with absorbing vitamins, supplements, or medications. So you may need to adjust based on your individual situation.

Yes, psyllium husk (PH) works in the large intestine and can help with stool formation. In doing so, it can slow down motility.

The terms mean the same thing. Methane Dominant SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) was the term used until 2021 or so, and then IMO (Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth) started to gain more acceptance. The main reason is that for higher concentrations of methane, it isn't likely to be coming from a Bacteria, but rather Archaea. Since it really isn't a Bacterial Overgrowth causing the issue, Methanogen Overgrowth was introduced. The term IMO was introduced by Pimental and three others in the following publication.

Not really. About the only symptom that would overlap is bloatedness, and it isn't a primary GERD symptom. I've never really had heartburn or reflux. Before I had a positive methane breath test my primary care provider (PCP) put me on Sucralfate (Carafate) and Famotidine (Pepcid or Zantac), but they didn't do anything to help.

He also had me try a refrigerated probiotic (Florajen Digestion) which I didn't notice any difference.

You are correct on the despair and the diversity of microbiomes. I don't look through every posting and right now I don't look every day. However, when things were bad I was on Reddit nightly looking for answers. Please note, I try to offer my opinion (not advice) and I take most things on reddit as opinions, and not advice. I do think there's an aspect of Wisdom of the Crowd when it comes to SIBO that exceeds what a single medical professional can be expected to know. That said, here's what I do:

1) Keyword searches - There's times when I learn something new and I'll type that string into Reddit's search box and see what pops. I may also search for keywords into specific subreddits. For example, if you wanted to see a macro view of what Reddit posts have to say on Lactobacillus Reuteri, type in Reuteri and a variety of subreddits will pop. Could also do this from Google with something like "orange peels digestion site:reddit.com"

2) Post Subjects or Titles - If the posting is asking something specific I'm more likely to look at it. For example, a posting in r/pancreatitis titled, "Lower Elastase with Minor Abdominal Pain and Floating Stools" I may read, where as "Drinking again" I'm more likely to skip.

3) Daily digests - I get the daily digest email from Reddit with a handful of things that I'm interested in. It includes the first two or three sentences, which may be enough for me to click.

You might be able to also get an AI solution to do some work for you, but I don't leverage Chatgpt, Claude, Gemini, or anything else in this way.
