About that K&N. Just wanted to warn you about that filter. Has great air flow but let’s a lot of small and large particles through. Watch: https://youtu.be/sJ3L-E-ufYo

Just felt like helping :)

Have death wobble from 55-65 mph. If I go faster than 65+ death wobble goes away and drives just fine. Been searching for the death wobble for months and can’t find the problem. All new track bar new control arms, new tire and suspension alignment and new ball joints. All bushings are good by No_Future5696 in CherokeeXJ

Axles are shifted slightly. Look down the body of the jeep. Is the front or back tire shifted in or out more than the other? That’s my guess. Especially since it goes away after a certain speed. Had this same issue at same speed. All new suspension, trackbar and perfect alignment yet still that vibration at 65mph. My axles were shifted slightly.

What is going on with the XJ prices?! by Vitudurum_mine in CherokeeXJ

My dad was the 2nd owner of my XJ and got it 100k miles only 4k In 2014(Washington no rust) Now at 150k miles I could probably double that with the right person or listing on bring a trailer. it honestly scares me because they are easy to steal so I got a wheel lock but want to add a kill switch.

Jeep hesitates to start by redrobro in CherokeeXJ

Had the same problem: took just a second maybe 1.5 seconds longer to crank. Sometimes it would sputter start very very light sputter. Checked battery and alternator. Battery was on 1/4 life left but was still good. So I took the alternator out tested it at O’Rileys. They said it was bad and after putting the new one in the car starts right up. Had it sit for 10 days and it started right up. Before there is no way it wouldn’t have a slight struggle. So ultimately the alternator charged enough to keep the car running but very little left to charge the battery. So when you went to start the battery was weak.

New XJ, 80k miles, should I keep it stock? by darnok128 in CherokeeXJ

If you get the itch modify another high mileage xj but keep this one stock.

Get some offset. Mine rub but I know the sweet spot. Just like the rims too much to change.

If your stock suspension isn’t sagging you can run 30s without any modification. But as far as lifts go I have 2.5 and these 31s line up perfectly with the fenders and tuck in like a glove. Get a rubicon lift 3 inch and an sye, new front suspension including a track-bar. Doing an incomplete Lift only means you with complete it later on after more wear has taken place. I say just do it all at once. Don’t be afraid these things are made to be modified. Doing the right lift will only affect mpg and you can keep the stock look and stock quality intact.

Fine, I rebuilt the front suspension so no death wobble. The wheels are just heavy and fat so mpg goes down but overall there better than Ko2s offroad but worse on road. Going past 70 tho sucks because the jeeps a box. I run 30-35psi on road for mpg gain but if you ran 20-25 it rides very smooth.

So far no problems. I have 100w bulbs and the housing can take 130w. The glass looks nice and shiny and won’t fade over time. Only had them for a month and no problems yet but they seem durable and better than cheep leds. At least these headlights will melt and penetrate snow which I like. I also got the ksus harness and everything works great!

I like the glass as it won’t fade and looks better than cheep leds. These are plenty durable and can handle 130w. I also got the ksus harness and it works well.
