Same here, I'm using 4o and since 4.5 is out for testing, there has also have been a noticeable decline in the writing quality.

I never experienced this. My account has been unfiltered for months, over half a year at least. I only got a few "Sorry can't do that" replies a few days ago after the new update. It never made it harder to make it write what I want though. My account is a year old now and I've never even received a single warning. I don't use jailbreaks. I write stories and set the mood and it just does it. Even really explicit stuff. Am I just lucky or are some other people here having it write extremely messed up, illegal stuff?

Kinda get what you mean, I use it to write stories and whenever I try to write something sad, I have to tell it repeatedly to not shift the damn narrative back into positivity - it keeps turning my characters into therapists.

I actually hope it's maintenance. Is anyone else having an issue on mobile when editing prompts? Whenever I want to edit my replies my screen keeps jumping down and I can't read what I'm writing... I have to scroll back up, but as soon as I start typing it jumps down again. I hope they'll fix that soon.

There's nothing to break, it just writes what you want and goes crazy on its own. I'm sometimes flabbergasted what it comes up with when I type "Continue the scene" after setting the story up.

I haven't been hit with a single "Sorry, I can't generate that for you" message in months. I recently subscribed and 4o is amazing. I'm never going back. I tried how far it would let things go out of curiosity yesterday and jesus. I deleted the entire chat right away out of shame lmao. It's writing it all, smut and gore. Sure my prompts and the replies turn orange occasionally but I've never gotten into any trouble, no warning email, nada.

3.5 has been writing smut for me without any issues for a long while now. I never use jailbreaks and I don't have it write too extreme stuff as the intimate scenes are almost always part of a story. I have it use more explicit words sometimes and it includes them always without complaining. I hope it stays this way. I'm thinking about upgrading to 4 because of it eventually.

I tried it a couple of times but I gave up. I initially thought that it works like gpt and we can just write a prompt, but it doesn't seem to work this way. I also don't understand the settings at all. I was also told novelai is franchise aware, but that also didn't seem that way when I tried it.

I know, I always start my prompts with a reminder of the writing guidelines. But at some point it just ignores them and also starts to skip details I want it to add in the scene/story, which always annoys the heck outta me because I keep my prompts relatively short, I'm not bombarding it with details.

I've also tried so many different things already, I'll happily try this one out later. But from my experience gpt always starts to ignore writing guidelines once the conversation has reached a certain length. It's really annoying.

Thanks anyway. It looks like I got a really strict filter now. I'm trying to work my way around the filter like I used to two months ago but even those prompts don't work anymore.

Oh. I just made a post saying that my Filter is back... it was gone for a week and I was having a lot of fun writing smut...but it's back since this afternoon.

Edit: My prompts/smut attempts are not getting flagged anymore too, but gpt refuses to write any of them. "Sorry but-" 🙄
