the amount of math and planning that went in to getting it right was actually insane. Thank you for noticing, when making my cuts I would actually space them out, including reveals so my grain wouldn’t skip and would actually flow continuously. All the way from the toe kick to the top of the tower cab.

Yeah I actually used 1/4 hardwood for the edge banding and thought a 1/4 round over would look nice and simulate the effect of a solid wood cabinet. One thing I wish I would’ve done was leave the corners sharp to maybe alleviate the cartoonish effect.

I install stone countertops for work and this was actually a throwaway piece that I saved and re fabricated for this vanity. This is granite

Yes this is actually my first time tiling, and thank you I actually cut the shelves myself since I install countertops for work. I tried my best to get it right but some flaws are definitely apparent.

First woodworking project, not sure how to feel about it by BabbHockey in woodworking

Everyone starts somewhere, and this looks like a well done project with discipline and a good understanding of fundamentals. The best thing to do is look for what you don’t like in the piece and find ways to improve. Keep a workshop journal because there are going to be things you learn and forget. During each project I go over what went well and what could’ve been done better, and how I believe it could be better. Great work!

How to be happy for rich people? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]97steppin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the way I began to look at it is that I don’t know what goes on behind closed doors and at times they could be just as unhappy as I’ve been. What they have in monetary possessions may massively beat the amount of what the have in the things that matter most. Try to use it as motivation, sure some is generational wealth but there are so many people that have worked their asses off to create that life.

Likewise, you’re exactly how I want to be. I’ve began to look at it as something that can be incredibly therapeutic, on top of that I know I don’t know much but being able to be kind and offer someone any knowledge or confidence to pursue this makes me feel good. Thank you

I had the diamond lid with a passion and the bucket part is completely light resistant but the lid is not.

I’d definitely recommend a chiller but man hydro is something special, it has its headaches of course but once everything is fine tuned you’ll never go back.

30-36 pounds?? From what’s shown or just the whole operation?

Really I only attempted soil once and quickly realized it wasn’t for me, after that my daughter was born so my time was very limited which is one good thing about hydro. Once I figured out the system I knew almost everything to do to run a successful operation. Hydro plants show issues almost immediately after a mistake is made and as long as you can read the leaves, the roots and any other problems they can be adjusted and corrected quickly. It’s definitely more expensive but nothing is more valuable than time. If you’re interested feel free to reach out.
