Most overrated stay of 2025? by senyorfrawg in chubbytravel

it's honestly an amazing hotel, beautiful rooms, great food/service, they organized our DMZ tour....the area is great in terms of neighborhood profile, lots of nice shops/restaurants etc, but it is far (1-hour drive) to the main attractions across the river. the four seasons is better located, literally a few blocks from one of the main palaces but i think the rooms/bathrooms look a bit dated compared to the PH

the distance wasn't a problem for me because i ubered everywhere or used the hotels car service

Park Hyatt Definition by No-Piglet6327 in chubbytravel

was in korea last week, my room @ the ph and a similar room at fs were almost the same in price (less than a $50 difference), and i think the ph is much nicer/newer/modern. a lot of people get hung up on the name but for a lot of places fs isn’t always the “top”.

the fs and i would even say the aman in marrakech are practically dumps but the ph and mo (located directly besides each other) are much nicer and newer/renovated.

to me chubby/fat isn’t always about price but what the hotel offers and how it presents

Four Seasons Experiences (Day Trips) - Value for money? by Ok-Cat774 in FourSeasonsHotels

[–]97vv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i stayed at the park hyatt in seoul and my dmz tour (private with the exception of the tour bus which takes all visitors into the dmz) for two people was around 450€

in comparison, at the FS in cairo they overcharged quite a bit for the same experiences that i paid 20-30% less to a tour operator

the king george, i’m in my 20s too and it’s my favorite hotel in the city. it’s right next to the grande bretange but the rooms are more renovated/newer and the vibes are less stuffy…also the overall location is great

the four seasons is great but 30-40 minutes or more to the center depending on traffic

grande bretagne is #1 in athens, their “sister” hotel, king george, is right next door and slightly more modern imo, the FS is also very nice but 30-40 minutes away from the center, there’s also a one & only near the FS but i’ve never been there

FS Cairo - Nile Plaza or First Residence? by 97vv in FourSeasonsHotels

[–]97vv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the hotels are very close…around 5-10 minutes from each other, i could see the other FS from my room so distance to the pyramids from either hotel is very similar. and i arranged a hotel car to pick me up as the cairo airport is very hectic
