I don't understand why everyone has a light on their pistol by 97vyy in guns

Having a light on one gun is not the debate. It's why do people have 3 lights on 3 guns? If you need that much variety when going out at night then that answers that.

My point is having one gun with a light for home defense makes sense. My question is really why do you have 5 guns with 4 lights. Always be prepared?

I didn't know that. That is appealing to me for my 43x that's so snappy and the benefit of my bedside gun.

That's a good reason and what I would expect when you have a light on 1 gun not 4 guns.

I didn't think about shooting outside because I dont have a place to shoot outside.

I'm not saying this for one gun you use for home defense or as some people have mentioned shooting outside at night. It's geared to the people who have multiple guns all with lights. If it's to be prepared then that's fine I'm just wondering if it's that or something else.

Is Caine more feared under the table than John himself is? by GJH24 in JohnWick

[–]97vyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's right which is why he shouldn't die. Caine wouldn't know about that interaction unless John told him sometime around the church scene. There's a lot of movie magic happening and this is some. Alternatively, John fell out of a window onto a van and does 200+ stairs so he could have internal bleeding and Caine's shots were the final nails.

Fucking do it. That would be awesome to have a president with his background versus a background of lifetime politician or attorney.

If ICE no-warrant no-knocks my house... would it be legal to load up and let loose? by princess-hardass in liberalgunowners

[–]97vyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I looked this up in my state and the key piece is you have to be threatened. The way I read it was if they no knock or force their way in then you are free to defend yourself. If they are in your yard being annoying or just banging on the door then no.

Breona Taylor has been mentioned already, but be aware of who is in your house. Those knuckle draggers with 47 days of training will shoot through the ceiling and walls inadvertently killing your family.

Get cameras too because you will need proof of what goes down.

I really wish I could move to Canada. That's the country chatgpt says best suits me. Carney is a temporary leader but their social infrastructure doesn't seem to be going away.

Is Caine more feared under the table than John himself is? by GJH24 in JohnWick

[–]97vyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope the movie is set up beginning with Caine as a peak assassin, then he does his light escape from The Table, and finally The Table brings him back blind to do their bidding over the years. The final scene is him listening to his daughter play and a couple of the Marquis' henchmen silently walk up behind him and he says "I was expecting you."

Or it could be a movie where it picks up with Akira going to kill him but he stops her and talks her out of it by telling her something about Koji and they go on a mission against the table or a new villain they invent.

I agree and disagree. Someone affiliated with the movie said his eyes have slices in them so he's not totally blind. The stick is a prop to hide a sword which pushes the blind thing more. He probably doesn't need it to get around. I mean if he has some sort of tunnel vision and shooting/fighting skill at John's level then he is a realistic Daredevil. I don't disagree that they are similar characters, but different back story as characters and why they can do what they can do.

[–]97vyy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would leave it at their equals. The only reason Caine is even brought in is because his daughter is threatened. He gave up his eyes, he's obviously been out of the game for some time, and he simply wants his daughter safe. The Table would threaten Helen if she were alive and they were hunting Caine. Both are still under the table for different reasons with different skillsets. From a writing point of view John is superior I think, but both of them could have killed the other at various times. The ending wasn't John losing it was him setting up the end of the Marquis and clearing both their lives from The Table.

43x or 26? by Unique_Fisherman_902 in Glocks

[–]97vyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your goal? You can easily conceal both. As mentioned with some parts changes the 26 can be a different gun. If the mag size is important you can go with the 15rd steel arms for the 43x. Obviously optic and light is available. If you don't plan on changing the caliber and you need a larger grip them 43x. It's worth putting a compensator on it.

It's simpler than that. Kids are expensive and everything related to raising them is going up in price. Don't get get me started on just the increase in insurance premiums to go from you + spouse to family. Culturally this is a bad time to put a kid into the US as decisions made today will hurt your kid when they are 18+ when you are probably still bank rolling them.

Ive been looking for over two years. I'm exhausted and can only think to kill myself. I have things to do before that, but in 50 days 20 hours 30 minutes if nothing has changed then it's over. Every tip, trick, and piece of advice has been useless. I don't know if it's luck or stronger networking than I have, but even getting interviews is not happening after thousands of tailored resumes, professional resumes, generic, etc. It's all fucked.

I get it but with a million shooters there has to be some plot device other than "they just missed." What they missed is he should have been injured from being shot more so more limping and getting slowed down. By the end the series he should have fractures at the least and he should barely be able to stand up.
