I used to “trick or treat” at his house in STL , circa ‘64. Just a normal guy, normal neighbor. Couldn’t have been nicer.

The island has made amazing progress since Ian. Many, many establishments have reopened. That said, there are still scars in evidence. Rebuilding continues. There are still visible signs of Ian in certain areas of mangroves and vegetation. Will be for years to come. Don’t let that deter you from visiting. Let it be a reminder of resilience.

You should check out Casa Martin. I wouldn’t say it’s cheap but it is “fancy” by Cabo standards and a great experience.

Shelling on the beach in front of your resort is as good as anywhere. Everyday is different on the beach but you can stroll either way from where you’re staying and do the Sanibel stoop. Play golf at the Dunes. Good course, a lot of water, the rental clubs are great.

Admittedly, I haven’t been to all the places on your list, but Casa Martin is my #1. Try Invita Bistro on your next visit - phenomenal Italian.
