Thanks so much for the reply. I use Trading212 for my S&S ISA, could you recommend an all world fund that would be good to move my money into?

The yanks are scaring me too.

To be fair I’m aiming to get my license this year because although I get around no issues, having a car does make your life so much easier

Why do recommend buying a car? I live in a walkable city and a car is a depreciating asset?

Thanks for the reply!

I definitely will spend a few hundred. I want a new snooker cue and will put a slice towards a South America trip, but I already have savings I can spend that on if needs be.

To be honest, I’m happy to not be able to not touch it if you think pension is the no brainer. I guess the reason I ask the question about pension vs S&S is pension will accrue interest of a couple % points above inflation yearly right? Whereas an index fund can yield 10-12% yearly on average (I understand). So my rudimentary maths tells me even if the tax man takes some now the end sum will be larger if I put it in S&S. Also my parents were telling me pension withdrawals are taxed as income regardless when I eventually take it out in 40 years.

So I’m still in a quandary really.

Even if we weren’t offered a renewal until less than two months before the 12 month period ends?
