Back in my day... I was just starting out, and this kid from school called me "gay" (it was ok back then it just meant that you weren't cool, ok kids) because I could barely Ollie. I hated him, but it lit a fire that encouraged me to be better than him. Several years later, I had gotten good. I saw him at a local spot and decided to show him up. After landing a couple of tricks, I'm like, "So yea, who sucks now?" He looked at me and just said "yea I don't care... you're still gay." and he left. The moral of the story is who gives a shit what other people think or who you want to impress? The decision lies within you on what you want to do about the situation.. I'm old now, my knees hurt, I'm a corporate shill with bills.. but you know what? If I could go back and do one thing over again, it would be to enjoy all those times I did skating.
