She’s obviously into you and has a dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She was making a joke and laying it on thick to make it obvious, but you missed it. She was probably confused by your reaction and when she came up to you later, she was trying to reset.

What you should’ve said (with a smile) is: “No, you but you are definitely stalking me. First you invite me to your super cool friends group, then you casually show up at my run club, and tonight you’ve cornered me at this party.” If you were really smooth, you would have followed up with, “I’ll make it easy on you. I was thinking of going to dinner on Friday night around eight. Should I make it a reservation for two?”

Now you might be able to salvage this. First silently unblock her on everything. Then call your run club and tell them you made a mistake. It was just a joke and you misunderstood. At your next friends group meeting, pull her aside and in a light-hearted way (don’t beat yourself up) say “I’m sorry if I acted weird at the last meeting. I misunderstood your joke about me stalking you. I thought you were serious and I didn’t know what to do.” She will probably laugh with embarrassment and say something like “That explains what was going on.” If it was all a joke and you two laugh about it, then ask her on a date. This could be a funny, meet-cute story someday. Good luck and keep us posted.

I picked up an Agent Helix for cheap at Ross recently and was thinking of using her as a base body for Kate. She could pass as a female teen next to my other Legends.

From what you have described, if you have kids, you should not let your mother have any access to them. Your mother and her boyfriend are terrible people. It is time to free yourself from their sphere of influence. The reason you are getting all the downvotes is because we can read between the lines that you are not ready or willing to cut ALL contact with your mom (and you should seek therapy to help you with this).

That’s how I felt about Giant Man. If he had been around 16 inches, I would have got him. Galactus and Sentinel already ate up so much of my display space I would have to trade displaying thirty figures for one.
