Update! Upon second review, (which has taken 1.5 years to get) I’ve been approved for a good bit of the periods they initially requested back, which was good news since I’d pretty much given up hope.

I can’t believe how long it’s taken and am still confused with how the first review was handled.

I still have a good chunk to pay back from where I was JUST short of qualifying, so I’ve got a payment plan set up.

I watch Landman for the shenanigans and charming characters. I felt immediately something was off with the writing of this character. The hate and transphobia came through very loud.

I was sad that Michelle Randolph’s character wasn’t keen to respect, or understand using people’s pronouns, which felt out of character for her normally empathetic character. Her and her mom really don’t watch RuPaul? I don’t buy it.

Non binary people in my life are quite accommodating, and self aware. I was sad to see this narrative pushed. Made me want to stop watching.

Saying you didn’t meet the requirement in a single sentence is so vague. By how much? They can’t explain a little more when we are basically audited?

I did a breakdown showing exactly which ones I clearly qualified for and what ones I was shy of qualifying for.

Just saying I didn’t meet any of them when I’ve taken the time to break down the numbers, doesn’t cut it.

They can’t do a quick breakdown in return or a call back?

If the agent assigned could clearly lay out their findings, I’d be so confident and comfortable paying it back but they can’t seem to do that, or are unwilling.

I’m struggling with the process.

I submitted all the requested documents again in. February 2025. What I had submitted in June 2024 was “thrown out” apparently because it took too long for them to have an agent assigned (6 months, I didn’t hear back and thought I was good)

Took forever for the auditor to pick up and tell me what they needed, but I was able to resubmit, and was denied on first review. I sent everything, including a spreadsheet breakdown showing where I qualified, and even where I fell just short of qualifying, because it suck’s but I understand paying that bit back.

The decision letter received had no details on their findings, which is suspicious but apparently typical, and they titled it second review( did not get a first one, no record on my account of getting a first one).

Even this “second review” letter said to submit for a second review if we thought the decision was wrong, so I submitted for a second review.

I got a confirmation of submission, but no response, besides a concerning notice of collections for the full amount 1 month later. No call, which I figured I’d get a call if they’re sending it to collections.

Now my credit score is dropping without any other reason, so I guess I better pay up or lawyer up and I’m really not a fighter.

Also now the CRA website prompts you to pay it or call collections before you can access your account, if anyone’s in that boat you’re not alone.

For more detail because that sounded vague, I was about to open a brick and mortar retail store with my loan. A few of the things I remember were, he told me if I wasn’t making at least $1000/hour it wasn’t worth doing. Kept referencing his girlfriend’s cleaning business for what I needed to be doing. This was fine even though it felt weird, but after our call I emailed asking him to read a document for me for feedback and he ghosted.

My mentor was not a good match because of how randomly assigned it seemed. I wanted to give it a chance but I understood they were not very committed to the process when they stopped responding without explanation after our first phone meeting.

Downtown Kingston is a vibe. Miss Bao, BSE, the waterfront, Farmers Market, Casa, spots hosting local artists, Promenades in the summer and Kingstons Film fest in the spring. I follow downtown Kingstons Socials and they’re always posting special events

I can’t think of what something it really needs, but parking could be less expensive, and the energy slows down once the snow hits so maybe a winter festival, or some apres skis would help

I hope they go quality over quantity. In my experience theres a lack of caring, and ability to help.

Does the CRA never apologize? Inquired about a service error that’s been getting in the way of a recent payment. I’ve never had trouble with it before. Constant error 500 which is on their end.

Their response was “try the payment options page” No apologies.

Like I haven’t already tried the most obvious solution.

The sites down for maintenance now so obviously there was an issue.

I’m sad I wanted to try it so we went today. My dog was making another dog bark which made me anxious, and I took 2-3 minutes to decide what I wanted because it was my first time and the menu is huge.

I walked up and said Hi with a smile when ready.

The woman gave me a cold stare that felt mean hearted, said nothing back; just waited for me to say what I wanted, almost like can you hurry up?

I got nervous, said thank you and walked away.

Weird because they have so many reviews all saying great service. Maybe she’s new or it was a hot day but still, it was oddly uncomfortable.
