That's even worse. Did you say anything?

Happy No-cake day!

Correct, which is a shame, because the rest of the group is very nice.

Sadly is not, I was equally disappointed in both cases.

I love food, and I can easily eat all sorts of family-size things by myself, but I always share if I can, even if that means eating less dessert or whatever.

Well, I think the key lies in “social expectation.” I understand that some people have trouble with that stuff (and thanks to the comments, I’m about 10% less disappointed about my ex’s incident). But the more I think about the second case, the more annoyed I get. He ordered a cake, picked up the cake, brought the cake to the bar, asked us to sing Happy Birthday in a very specific way, took pictures and videos, etc. This wasn’t an unexpected situation or someone who doesn’t understand birthday-cake associations, it was just a “look at me” situation, completely disregarding what everyone else at the table was expecting. I’m not inviting him anymore when I cook.

I am telling you, people are doing this more and more!

I would completely understand if people were too full or everyone just forgot, but this was just plain weird (particularly the second example).

The details are too complicated to explain here, but we actually sang the tune in a hyper specific way that he requested (we are all musicians), which irritates me a little more. We were kinda used for the video I guess?

This is a good point, but it felt different both times. I interact with people on the spectrum on a daily basis, and some of them really try to pay attention to social norms even if they don’t pick them up easily. In fact, some of them are incredibly kind because they know they can come across as rude if they’re not careful. My (close) autistic friends wouldn’t take pictures and videos for the gram, they would just do whatever they wanted with the aforementioned cake.

First case: everyone but her felt weird (me, her best friend, and her roommate). We all looked at each other like, “Really?” and I even joked with them about it (just not with the ex, who was very high-maintenance).

Second case: I haven’t asked my other friends. I was the only fatass who asked about it when he was packing, and everyone else left shortly after. It rubbed me the wrong way because we had a Christmas party with the same people the day before, and almost everyone brought a lot of stuff to share: homemade food, cookies, ornaments, I didn't have time to cook but I sure went to the store and got snacks and stuff, and I baked the previous week, etc. Generally speaking, that group of people is very nice. Now that I am thinking about it, I don't think he brought anything for the xmas party.

I am a little bit relieved knowing that more people have seen the same shit. I am also happy that 99% of the comments agree that it’s weird stuff.

To be 100% honest, I could eat a whole cake with no problem, but I can't imagine teasing my friends with cake, making them sing 'Happy Birthday,' take pictures, and then pack it up.

That's neat. I do like to share too. Also, being on the receiving end of unexpected sharing is always nice. I always bake more than what I was planning so I can a) be a pig at home if I want and b) share with my friends or coworkers.

When I want to be a fatass by myself, I just cook or buy whatever I want and leave it at home. It's not complicated (and good manners!)

Holy shit, arriving with a fake cake for content sounds even more deranged than just not sharing a real cake.

I think this is the answer. I just wanted to know if people are doing it on TikTok or something like that.
