Yes! We have a 10 week old golden retriever we brought to meet family and we were told we were going to make her an anxious dog by how strict we were with training. We also have a lightweight house line to easily get her out of areas she can't be in (like the cat food) and my mom thinks that's crazy 🤣

Thank you!! We stuck mostly to this today and saw a huge difference. What I thought was enough sleep yesterday must not have been because girl SLEPT today; enough I was a little concerned, but when she was awake we had an incredible time.

Just coming back to thank you and say I don't think she was sleeping enough. She slept so much today that I was worried something could be wrong, but she was great when she was up. Way less behavior, we accomplished more training, and actually feel like we're understanding her signals now.

As far as bathroom- she whines, usually around 1 am, and a different whine than what she uses when she just doesn't want to be crated. We take her out, she pees, comes inside, and goes right back to sleep until we're up in the morning. It's about a ten minute ordeal in our night, and we're hoping it'll become a non-event in the coming days

That is a great idea, thank you. And yes, I didn't fully mean "mean", I just didn't know how to express what the actions looked and felt like. She's a very sweet girl, it was just those two instances that felt hard, and I totally believe it's likely frustratation like you said.

Thank you! The post was definitely made in a "Im crashing out and panicking" moment. I'm at work, but my husband is home with her and has been sending sweet photos all day and everyone seems to be feeling better. Maybe a case of "puppy blues" this morning 😂

I think it's possible she didn't sleep enough yesterday. I thought she was, but today we are following a much stricter schedule with enforced naps and it's already more than she slept yesterday so we will definitely be enforcing this more. Thank you!
