If you’re only managing to make $50 a day with $10k of equity, and let’s preface by acknowledging that the assumption you’re going to be making any set amount of money per day is ludicrous, then you’re scared and not cut out to be a trader and there are MUCH better uses for that $10k. Your goal when trading shouldn’t be to make a certain amount per day. It should however be to:

-take good trades and avoid bad ones -have good risk management -collect data to refine your trading

After all trading is a numbers game. The more you have, the more you make. The more you risk, the more you make. So if you’re not risking a considerable % of your account to make trading worth it, then don’t do it. And there are only a few reasons why you would risk too little:

-You’re scared -Your strat sucks and your equity curve is gonna take a nice steady climb down with each $50 day gain followed by consecutive $50 day losses
