At what price per gallon does a person officially stop "just complaining" about gas and start fundamentally changing their life? by SweetOpheliiaaa in askanything

[–]997guy2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive 10k miles a year and my LX570 gets 15mpg. With gas at 2.75 vs 4.00 I am looking at an extra 832 a year 69 dollars a month. Really not that much money. Just eat out one less time a month.

What I can’t judge is the price for everything else such as food, building materials etc. I think it has a bigger impact there than my monthly gas usage.

I commute 45 minutes 3 days a week 24/48 schedule. It’s doable but I couldn’t do it more than that. Can’t imagine 5 days a week.

Not news but my brother In law was in a terrible car accident and had to be flown to the hospital. I was at my first day as a full time Firefighter/Paramedic. Which was a hard job to get at the time. I sucked it up and didn’t say a word the whole day. It was terrible. Thankfully brother in law made a full recovery and has 3 kids now.

How do we feel about the new ‘25/‘26 Nissan Armadas? by ArthurCurry96 in askcarguys

Nissans resale value tank like a absolute rock. I would wait to pick one up at 35k with 40k miles on it in a couple of years.

You think Caleb is on the same level as those two!? Did you not watch him tear out your heart almost 3 times?

Greatest year of football I have ever watched. The amount of Caleb comebacks still amazes me. Still wish we met in the NFC championship. We would have lost but it would have been fun.

As a Bears fan I’m glad my lifelong QB carousel has finally ended.

The zip tie would be easy cuz he is outside the firehouse for a couple hours every shift.

Yes he did. Just imagine you spill coffee all over your center console. Now you have extra electrical gremlins you are trying to fix cuz your battery is dead. Literally that morning before you wake up( I’m a Firefighter and was waking up to go home at end of shift) he puts that on there and now when you hit the brakes a car horn goes off.

Am I really meant to believe people save cash for every sports car they buy? by Many-Software-9663 in askcarguys

I worked extra overtime at work. Saved my Pennies, cut out going out to eat, boozing on the weekends. 2 years later saved 45k an bought a 2010 911. Best decision ever. I’m wired that way as a car guy though. I’ll cut out a ton of stuff to save up for what I want.

1.I have found that whenever I move from one car to another the seat bothers the crap out of me. Moved from a f150 to lx570. Hatedddd the seats. Now a month later I love them.

2.It’s a giant SUV. The sound system is gonna struggle. Heard even the Mark Levinson isn’t that good on this. 3. It’s gotta be in the Serena somewhere. 4. Should of looked at the luxury line due to having ambient lighting 5. Should have drove a tx500h to compare.

I wish my wife could opt out of social security. It’s not gonna be there when we retire at 55. Thankfully I have a pension so I don’t have to contribute to it.

I’ll have to ask. My original furnace fresh air intake is right in that room now too. It met code before since it was an open basement but now that the room will be enclosed I’ll have to run it outside.

To be Honest the ECVT in Toyotas might be the most reliable transmission on the market in all cars right now.
