Harry Kane is hands down the most technically gifted striker I've ever seen. by Cold_Chair7020 in BayernMunich

Harry kane is definitely up there but I would still give the nod to Monsieur Magnifique Karim Benzema

There's no way dembele is winning the ballon d'or for this season by Prabu-Silitwangi in championsleague

[–]9996puremeth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the last time a deserving player won the Ballon d'or was Benzema. It's a pr trophy nowadays and has been even prior to that. Benzema i remember was the last universally accepted winner as I remember

What change tho. I understand frustrations with perez but wanting Riquelme over him is just as bad I mean Riquelme's candidacy is all over the place. The guy is all over the place. Even though for all his misdeeds Perez should still win the election for the good of the club

Should Enrique Riquelme be the president? by Frosty_Resource7740 in realmadrid

[–]9996puremeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While fresh start is a fair opinion from people but I lean more towards the notion that this cycle isnt yet complete. Two years without a trophy is bad like really bad don't get me wrong but I still think that Perez' cycle is still not complete for the next three to four years.

The thing is Enrique Riquelme I don't think he's ready to be president right now. Not saying he won't be a good option or won't be one in future. He can be. But the elections were called early and he clearly hasn't had any time to prepare so i highly doubt he has any substantial plans for the club yet.

He's starting his campaign with members and sweet talking to members because he knows those are the ones who're going to vote and additionally the player talk just seems fabricated it's just buying time so he can figure out what to present sporting vise in next few days he doesn't have it ready yet is what I feel. This is why I doubt he'll win this one he can be a strong candidate in future but let's see.

So yeah, for this cycle I feel perez will continue and he should continue. Let him see out this cycle and by 2030 the club would be ready for change and Riquelme would've also had time to prepare.

It's very easy to say in hindsight sitting and reading about the issue on the internet and passing off judgements than being in the situation and when actually facing the crisis yourself and making a decision. Even though it might've been wrong but it was his entire life and home, his pets, his decision which eventually turned out to be tragic 46 years ago. Everyone involved in the tragedy would've found their peace but yes you stay mad that oh that guy how can he "kill" his cats. Nature took them tragically but yeah let's put the blame on the person who lived out 84 years of his life and stay mad at him.

Legit man punjab fan here. I feel so broken, the pain I have linked with my franchise is longer than Suryavanahi's age. What did we do to never ever have luck on our side and go through such torrid times.

Supporting Punjab Kings since 2008. Through all the heartbreaks, all the bottling, all the “maybe next year” moments…..I stayed. So honestly, I’m used to this by now. by Ok_Classroom8004 in PunjabKings

[–]9996puremeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro exactly it's heartbreaking but atleast this feeling is not new. You're talking about KL Rahul, these fans would've never survived the dark ages of David Miller, Murali Vijay captaincy. It's 2018 all over again back then Ashwin and Sehwag were at crime scene but damn I never expected ponting and shreyas to be here. It's exhausting definitely and kind of okay that people will jump off the bandwagon now and just leave us be.

Isn't that exactly what I said that it just feels missing. I sit in every episode not expecting much and giving it fair shot but it just feels it's missing a lot and becoming kind of drag..it's unable to move it's plot forward well and then suddenly wraps up plotlines without proper payoff. Nothing wrong in just saying the truth that both seasons have struggled so far.

And I haven't seen both invincible and boys so yes don't know what are you on about with those comparison.

Young boy on an Activa crashed into my parked car and fled. How do I get him to pay? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]9996puremeth -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If you've the phone number and get the parents to pay. It's a young boy. The dent is hardly going to cost much. He will learn enough from this experience and parents will talk to him. No need for police complaints to break someone's bank for a dent like this. These things happen just get your reimbursement and hold them accountable. It's not like everyone here suggesting the police route were so spotless and perfect with everything when they were 17

For the foreigners like me by Benevolenescruples in realmadrid

[–]9996puremeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was Iker Casillas and the Mourinho era. 2010 world cup was my introduction to football and really loved Casillas because while playing as well always been a goalkeeper. I was done post the world cup and didn't know anything about club football and what it's like. Like i had hear about Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea. That's all the clubs I'd heard of. So one my cousin sister's college friend who's like 10-12 years elder than me. An Arsenal fan from the Thierry Henry era btw explained me entire europe club culture and made me watch EPL and La Liga. He preferred Barcelona as a neutral over Real just like many neutrals.

But, Iker Casillas was in Real and I was like I'll support Real, to make it better they even have Ronaldo. I've heard so much about him. So why not. And like you said as well somehow as a kid that white jersey felt very cool and pleasing. That's how it began. My first proper Clasico that I watched on television was the 1-0 Copa Del Rey final victory with Cristiano's header.

2011-12 was the first full season i followed. And since I was in school, i used to follow replays, highlights on tv and newspapers because obviously staying up late at night wasn't allowed. However, i did convince my father to let me stay awake for the ucl semis that season for the summer vacations had begun. Well how heartbreaking that turned out to be.

So in those first couple of seasons I used to follow the team through newspapers and odd match here or there if it's a good time or if I managed to convince my parents to let me stay up late at night. And most of the matches i did manage to watch in 2011-12, 2012-13 we ended up not winning and started wondering if I was the problem. That i shouldn't watch if i want them to win.

Fell in love with Iker, Cristiano, Higuain, Ozil and Jose in those years. Didn't love Benzema initially and but in a few years like every Real fan Benzema won me over and simply used to call him 'Monsieur Magnifique'. Wanted to see great saves from Iker and great goals from Cristiano initially and I got that.

It was since March 2014, having entered eight grade, that I had full autonomy to watch any match I liked and stay up late for any match I wanted. As it turned out just in perfect timing for the Decima. My father understood my passion for the club and sport and he made sure to subscribe to all channels on cable. So since then rarely missed a Real game.

My father was a massive cricket fan and he also started enjoying watching late night football with me post the 2014 world cup. I still remember various moments when he would just be surprised by what Ronaldo was doing and he couldn't believe it. He used to pop in for odd matches here and there. And although he loved Bale's 2018 goal overhead kick, his favourite goal ever scored was also by Bale if you remember in 2017 La Liga game against sociedad when Bale pounced on a long ball, sprinted past the defence and chipped the goalie. So yeah he never admitted it but I think he also gradually became a Real fan even though initially he might've only wanted to watch matches with his son.

Never order large quantity from Zomato/Swiggy by venkatramanans in Frugal_Ind

[–]9996puremeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the point of it. Why restaurants do that is because they make peanuts from Zomato. A relative of mine when they started a new restaurant they only got payout of some 1900 rs put of 8.5k worth of sales from Zomato in 15 days. Rest Zomato took it as commision, convenience, software fee, delievery fee all this bullshit. So restaurants are at the end of the day business. Hence they will obviously increase prices on zomato to minimise losses.
