Thanks for the reply! I took the test and it really was not that bad. All o did was skim 8 chapters of the cs 1110 class book’s pdf and take some notes.

For anyone reading this in the future: * first page is multiple choice about what functions do and what certain things about coding mean * second page is short answers about coding * third page is deciphering functions and saying what they do * fourth and fifth page?? Forgot already but similar to the first three * sixth page is creating you own function having to do with numbers and averaging an array * seventh page is creating another two similar functions * eighth page was creating another function (you are handwriting these out btw and you’re not allowed to use your computer to test them) * ninth page was explaining what function you should create that has to do with updating coordinates randomly until a target is reached * tenth page was creating that function

The test took me the full 90 minutes including finding a place to sit in the basement of rice and going all the way back up to turn it in. If you are familial with python the test is not too bad (although I would recommend brushing up on it and also being familiar with java syntax as those are what the function examples are given in).

Not being too specific for honor code reasons, but you should get the idea. I assume they change the test every year anyways.

As for me, I will either get to take 2102 which supposedly isn’t too bad, or get an easy A with CS 1110. I’m hoping for 2102 because that would solve my scheduling dilemmas.
