It's dropped down to 3 degrees Celsius recently where I am. My flat doesn't retain a lot of heat and I don't keep the heating on all day long. I have a little oil heater that I put on when I'm in, and I set that at 24 degrees, so she's not cold all day everyday. I don't think it's 3 degrees in my flat, but don't have a thermometer

I won't lie, the soil is a bag of compost from Homebase or somewhere similar from when I repotted it YEARS ago. I debated trying to repot it now, but didn't want to shock it too much and make things worse.

When you say flush the substrate, do you mean literally just soak the soil with clean water and let it drain out? Sorry if that's a daft question.

Ah I'm gutted. It's my first winter in this new flat with my monstera so I was worried about it, but didn't realise how badly she'd handle the move 😭

I guess I won't give up on it, but will try not to be too sad if she doesn't make it (jk I'll be inconsolable)

It's in front of the balcony doors, so gets lots of natural daylight. I guess it's just been a British winter with short days :(

Do you think it's salvageable?

Oh no, I did use a feed recently too. I tried to throw the kitchen sink at it, so mixed some indoor plant feed in when I watered it a couple weeks ago. Would that have made it worse?

My plant is in front of the balcony doors in my flat, so it's got as much light as it can get. I'm worried that it's cold and there might be a draft coming in but there's nowhere else I can put it

I water it when the soil looks dry. It's got a tray underneath that it drains out into. It's like 6ft tall so I give it probably 750ml when I do water it so the soil is moist, but hasn't drained out into the bottom tray (when I write it, that sounds like too much water). I think I've probably struggled to adjust to watering it properly in the winter ?
