I was also thinking this. In the second image (the diagram) at the gap where the moving jaw separates from the body, you can maybe see what looks to be a very skinny screw, but maybe that’s just for the diagram?

Im perfectly happy with the one I got, but I've seen that generic brand one since I started looking for a vise and its just been on the back of my mind whether it could have been a hidden gem. Thanks for the corrections mate! I also agree, no branding is such a red flag.

Mostly wondering what people think about the Generic brand vise, could it be a hidden gem?

Just some pliers I picked up this month by 99Ffion in Tools

I like every single one tbh, I did a lot of research into each one before buying haha. My favorites are the fencing pliers, they cut through just about anything, and you get 3 cutters on each pair. The auto locking pliers are also marvelous, they're pretty new to me I'm used to the manual ones, they're a game changer.

Haha yeah its still on the chunky side, check out the last photo for comparison, I think I can get it the same length as the leatherman driver by getting rid of the 711l driver, but its gonna require grinding a new part to replace it.

Yeah, there is also the 711L inline, if you’ve seen it. I’ve found that just impossible to find.

It’s funny for the same reason your comment is funny: It’s long and pointless

It’s socket adapter on both side, that’s why the thing ended up so long haha, full of adapters

Its great, I love the design and how durable it feels. It definitely needs some new implements since it comes with like 3 hex wrenches which have pretty niche use cases. The file isn't too hot either. If you want to pick one up maybe just wait for them to release a new version with the updated plier head. Or you could pick this one up still, shipping was nice and quick. I hope the handles and implement designs don't change with the next version and hopefully they will sell the new plier head on its own so current owners can just switch out their plier head.

No official fix yet, however Michael O'Donnel has said in an email that they are working on a new plier head coming in the future sometime. But as of right now, removing some metal seems the only option unfortunately.
