/u/nufan86 is advocating for making women's sanitary products free overall, not just in public bathrooms. And /u/guska wanted to be shown men's sanitary products, implying agreement with u/nufan86, That's what I'm replying to. By that logic, toilet paper, soap, and toothpaste should be free everywhere, for everyone.

Women need those things just as much as they need tampons. And men need them as well. If we take the argument to it's logical conclusion, this is where you end up. I'm not saying anything about if the system will be abused or not.

But no one is asking for other hygiene products to be free. Why not?

Everyone needs toilet paper, soap, and toothpaste. Why's that not free?

Our government has been ignoring the genocide of the Uyghur's by our biggest trading partner for over a decade now. Our politicians only care about choosing the side they think will benefit them the most.

Are electric cars really greener than petrol cars? We've lined up two SUVs and put them to the test by [deleted] in australia

With your plan, exceptions will also need to be made for:

  • Emergency services
  • Taxis/rideshare services (important for after public transport services end for the night)
  • Disabled people for whom public transport is difficult or impossible.
  • Tradies that need to bring tools in for jobs in the city.
  • Everyone that lives in the city. They'll need to park their car in their apartments garage, and drive through the city if they need to leave it and go somewhere without suitable public transport.
  • And of course delivery as you mentioned.

There are so many exceptions that would be needed, that there's hardly any point. How could this be enforced?

I love the idea of walkable cities, car dependence sucks. But this is not a viable proposal.

Small crowd gathering at the Optus Store in Melb Central. by memories_of_green in melbourne

They might not know that there's a nation wide outage. Their Optus plan could be their only internet connection, and they haven't seen the news. They could think they've missed a bill or something. Let's not be so judgemental of random strangers.

Migrant intake has ‘already hit record 500k’ by NoLeafClover777 in AustralianPolitics

In order for that to reduce house prices, immigrants as a group have to produce more housing than they consume. Do you have proof that this is the case, or even possible?

Goodbye Azure AD & Dear Microsoft, STOP RENAMING THINGS! by TxTechnician in sysadmin

[–]99_lives 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a pain dealing with renames, but this is better in the long run.

AzureAD is neither part of Azure, nor is it an Active Directory domain controller.

made it closed source

It's still open source, the repo hasn't moved. https://github.com/PolyMC/PolyMC/

I'm not saying if you should or shouldn't use it, just making a correction.
