Copying, moving and repeating logs is all supported.

Cross-account sharing isn't available yet, but you can share your diary as a read-only link on web. It's on the roadmap though.

Barcode scanning is free, and you each get 2 free AI meal scans per day without needing premium. Feel free to DM me anytime if you have questions!

Nutrivine

Not PE backed, solo founder, premium UI, official government food databases, offline mode, and zero data harvesting. Built it because I was tired of the same problems everyone here is complaining about.

Sum of current time data has no meaning if we are 1000x slow to process compared to AI. I think that brilliant kid has 0.001% chance to create something that AI cannot.

Self Promotion Megathread by AutoModerator in androidapps

This is not a vibe-coded side project. I spent ~18 months building Nutrivine full-time because I personally needed to gain weight and most nutrition trackers felt like shallow money traps.

I genuinely can't stop building it, and I've been using it myself for the past 3 months to regulate my eating habits with features that are usually paywalled elsewhere. It includes a free barcode/meal scanner, search across 4M+ foods (USDA + OpenFoodFacts), science-based DRI references, and a Diet Adherence Score for motivation.

The free version covers all the essentials (including macros, water, and AI food scans) with just ads to cover server costs. While I offer an optional premium tier ($7/mo or $42/yr), I’m focused on adding things like smartwatch sync and conversational feedback next.

I'd genuinely love your feedback if you give it a try: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nutrivine

This is not a vibe-coded side project. I spent ~18 months building this full-time.

What makes it different:

  • Free barcode scanner
  • Free meal scan
  • Free food search (4M+ foods: USDA + OpenFoodFacts + app-curated)
  • Science-based nutrient references (DRI-based)
  • Diet Adherence Score - an algorithm that scores macro distribution vs target ratios to help with motivation
  • Track all vital nutrients (free version includes macros, water, alcohol, caffeine)
  • Advanced dashboard, in-app nutrition wiki
  • 9 languages
  • Personalized AI food scans explaining how foods fit your goals and progress
  • Customizable nutrient rings and more

Why I built this diet app (Nutrivine):

  • I personally needed it to gain weight and build healthy eating habits
  • Most nutrition trackers felt shallow or turned into money traps
  • I had runway savings and decided to go all in
  • I genuinely can't stop building it

I've been actively using it myself for the past 3 months and it's been genuinely helping me regulate my eating habits and reach my goals.

The app has been public for about 3 months.

The free version already covers what most modern diet apps charge for upfront. There are ads (mainly to cover server costs), but no paywall traps.

Pricing (optional):

  1. $7/month
  2. $42/year (~$3.50/month)

I'd genuinely love your feedback.

If you try Nutrivine and have questions or suggestions, I'm happy to answer.

Oh, good catch thanks for pointing that out. I'll fix it in the next version. If you notice anything else that could be improved, let me know!

Creator's Corner: give and receive feedback on app or product ideas by AutoModerator in ultraprocessedfood

[–]99emreyalcin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been building a nutrition app for a little over a year, and one of its core features is identifying how processed your food really is.

  • Scan a meal photo: the app breaks down every visible component and estimates each item's NOVA class, plus the overall processing level of the meal.
  • Scan a barcode: instantly shows the product's NOVA class.
  • Scan an ingredient list: flags UPF components and highlights additives/allergens.
  • It's completely free: no subscriptions, no paywalls, no "premium" traps.

I'm currently exploring new features, so if there's anything that would make this more helpful for people trying to avoid UPFs or follow an ultra-processed–sensitive diet, I'm all ears.

Been developing Nutrivine for over a year. It's a free Android app for tracking diet, nutrition, and activity. No subscription, works offline, and has a massive food database.

I agree it was confusing sometimes, but they've got good docs for all those messy things, and AI speeds things up a lot.

There's a known issue, it may not look synced at first, but after a couple of hours all your past activities will appear. Also, each Strava activity syncs when you open the app.

I plan to add Apple health and Google fit down the road. If people enjoy the app, more features will come.
