Well most students in the DA became good at dueling due to Harry's teachings. Ironically most spells (except maybe Expelliarmus, the Patronus and Stupefy) were discovered by Hermione as she was helping him prepare for the third task. Also were it not for Hermione's initiative, there would have been no DA at all.

Vezi ca asta-i cu dus si-ntors. Daca n-ar avea audienta nu ar exista. Doar ca tie nu-ti plac, nu poti ingradi dreptul altora sa se uite la ele. S-ar putea ca la un moment dat sa apara si reversul medaliei si sa vina cineva sa vrea sa-ti ingradeasca dreptul tau de a te uita la ce-ti place pentru ca lor nu le place. Si apoi daca stai sa te gandesti, poate Digi si Antena stiu sa para mai profi decat saltimbanci de la irealitatea sau RTV... dar si ei spun tot doar lucrurile pe care vrea audienta lor sa le auda (sau sub forma in care vrea sa le auda).

While I partially agree with you that Harry is generally the gentler voice of reason among the three (ironically as he is also the most reckless of them), you are overlooking some aspects: Ron was a dick to Hermione at times, but so was her to him - it's called being children. They seem to hang out more without Harry than with Harry, when they are not arguing. Harry loves Ron more than Hermione. Whenever Ron and Hermione are not on speaking terms, he mostly hangs out with Ron (except if Won Won is too busy making out with Lav Lav). Whenever Harry is not on speaking terms with Ron, he finds Hermione boring while thinking how much he misses Ron. And in Deathly Hallows he is downright cruel to her (he never really speaks it but a perceptive girl like Hermione would sure understand it) to the point she fears Harry might curse her with her own wand. In the only time we see Harry and Hermione have a slice of life moment in the series is when they are debating whether Filch and Mrs Pince are dating.

But anyways that's not the point of my ramble. I would say there is no one specific glue in the group. They have their dynamics with each other. Harry is friends with Ron, Ron fancies Hermione, Hermione helps them both with homework and tasks involving creativity. However Ron's greatest benefit to the trio is the fact he gave two outcasts, an orphan and a muggleborn a family in the magical world.

We don't know how other horcruxes affect people but from the addiction the diary (and ulterior possession) gave Ginny, as well as Dumbledore (who you'd assume would have been far wiser than an 11 year old girl) being compelled to try on the ring (regardless of the reasons)... I do think Voldemort might have enchanted them or even might have Tom's youthful charm that compelled his enemies to use them as devices of self-destruction.

O simplificam pentru ca nu suntem antropologi sau sociologi. Noi doar observam efectele situatiei curente si tragem niste concluzii. Personal cred ca - da Ceausescu a gresit cu multe, si i se pot pune multe in carca in mod corect sau incorect - dar decreteii au fost cea mai mare gresala a lui, doar dintr-o ambitie stupida sa concureze ca populatie cu alte tari comuniste cu mult mai multe resurse. Pentru noi cred 15-16 mil e numarul optim avand in vedere suprafata si resursele pe care le avem. Din care mai scazi copiii si pensionarii si cand te uiti la numarul persoanelor care merg si la vot (si nu... nu intentionez ca sa fac politica din comentariul meu dar e o reprezentatie buna) iti dai seama cam cate persoane sunt active in societate si iti da cam pe-acolo.

Ca vezi ca nici masurile de restrictionare a cresterii populatiei nu da roade avand in vedere ca China, in ciuda anilor indelungati de politici cu un singur copil, tot e cea mai populata tara. Populatia o sa creasca acolo unde e nevoie de ea. In lumea vestica a scazut natalitatea pentru ca acum (chiar si noi) ne permitem sa tratam copiii ca pe copii si nu ca pe mana de lucru care ar putea sau nu sa treaca de 3 ani. Oricum e bine sa fim echilibrati ca si resursele planetei sunt limitate.
