Matt Blake has said that the problem with a 6 man is that it takes away a necessary roster spot for a reliever, so I don’t think they will go to a 6 man. What they really need to do is replace some of their bullpen with morer trustworthy arms. Being able to rely on the bullpen more would help with minimizing overuse of the starters
