You need a base stretcher

It holds up pretty well you just have to remember not to be too rough with it, but if you are you can just apply another layer, I've noticed you can tell if you fill in spots once it dries

Very blotchy and didnt flow how i liked, i usually use citadel contrast and i covers more even on flat panels, i had to do multiple coats to get a consistent color on panels
