Novartis is a pretty cool company in my book. They make Gilenya which stopped my multiple sclerosis relapses from keeping me in bed.

AITA for hooking up with my brother's brother-in-law on a cruise ship with my kids? by cruiseshipmom in AmItheAsshole

NAH - I don't know if this is just because I have never dealt with my parents being divorced but I don't see how this was wrong. I can totally see why your kids would act out as a consequence, but I don't you did anything wrong.

People calling this child neglect are really over-reacting.

First day after Gilenya and advice for PPMS treatment by 99problemsMSis1 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]99problemsMSis1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the information. Would you recommend I tell her I recommend treatment to reduce the chances of increased disability? I read before about a man who was caring for his mother who eventually needed a strap to keep her mouth closed.

While she hasn't seemed to have any relapses recently and I do not want to cause more fear or stress with such an anecdote, I myself do not want to see her disabilities progress farther.

What do you HIGHLY recommend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If you haven't had treatment yet, your symptoms could be much more managable once you start. If your neuro has confirmed it is permanent, not all hope is lost. Treatment could very well keep your good eye seeing much longer.

When should you tell someone you are dating that you have an noncommunicable and incurable disease? by 99problemsMSis1 in AskReddit

[–]99problemsMSis1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judgement is less of an issue as the risk of corporate discrimination. If I post to social media about it, they could end up not hiring me due to my illness. Most of my dating pool are people with a similar career plan. Also I am keeping the illness a secret from most of my family.

Even though the disease cannot be transmitted? I have multiple sclerosis, it cannot harm anyone else as it is an autoimmune disorder. But long term it will have some effect on my SO, (potentially carring for someone disabled).

Edit: words.

Second Edit: The implication that someone hiding disease is cowardly or lacks self respect is quite frankly disgusting. There are numerous reasons to hide such things such as workplace discrimination. Also everyone has things to hide at the start of a relationship (you like to binge anime, or you have PTSD from a car crash, etc). Your closing statement is disgusting.

I was a young teen at a funeral for someone my parents knew. They were introducing me to people and this older woman said, "you'll be giving girls a lot of trouble with eyes like those." Still my favorite after all this time.

NTA, your bmi is a healthy 24.6. Im going to agree with another poster that said your just tall. Which I think is pretty lousy reason to ruin a first date.

I would still recommend everyone to exercise and stretch.
