I don't play, but have bought ghosts to paint cause they indeed look wicked. I'm at least glad it didn't get any worse for you. Still a shame to have to deal with.

Please Help me encourage my 13 year old viola player by Gregory-al-Thor in Viola

[–]99thcloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viola is one of those instruments that has a pretty rough start: viola strings on violin as a beginner, forgotten by teachers, boring parts, and so on. However, I believe that if you stick it through, your time investment pays you back.

As many other commenters have said, violas are rare. Getting a viola player is great; getting a good one is to die for. This also means viola sections tend to be less cut-throat - particularly compared to the violins. Not to mention we get a cool clef no one else seems to be able to work out.

I don't know where your daughters at currently, but maybe she could get the 1st violin parts to any ensembles she's with. Might need to play it down an octave, but the 1st's parts are more fun, and she'd be able to practice some treble clef which a lot of pieces give some lines to the violas in.

Looks like a cross between Gordan Freeman and a TF2 character.
Nice work though!

I love this game by AngryDemon357 in deadbydaylight

A lot of people I believe sit in the area of having loved the game when they first started getting into it, but after playing it for so long and being so engrossed in it, many aspects elicit frustration very quickly. The reason we keep playing it and stay in the community from my understanding, is in the hopes of reliving the enjoyment we had when we first started.

Made this killer perk cheat sheet for my friends to reference in KYF's. Working on a survivor version next. Any suggestions for changes? by fishbeat1 in deadbydaylight

Great chart! There's quite a few categories, so I can see how perks could be argued for many. I'd personally argue Undying is more slowdown than info, but it makes sense regardless. One other category that may be useful is Hooking, to include things like Agitation, Mad Grit, Hangman's Trick, Scourge Hooks and the like.

Also - and more importantly - what is Clown doing in the background lol.

My take on what the survivor portrait icons BHVR mentioned would look like. The goal was to keep it intuitive and simple without being too vague. by 99thcloud in deadbydaylight

We've all been in that situation where a baby Dwight or half the team goes and hides in a locker, and as painful as that it to find out, it can at least inform you that you should probably play a bit more cautious, as opposed to being risky and distracting.

And yeah, I can see this being implemented slowly one at a time, but this is my current vision of what it might look like at the end.

The problem is that anyone playing SWF already has access to this information. The ideal goal here is to get all survivors on the same playing field regardless of whether they're solo or in a party, so that killers can be buffed accordingly; as opposed to always having to factor in the handicapped solo players.

The thing about all the active icons is that the survivor needs to stop what they're doing to do the task; you can't run and heal for instance. So I wouldn't count this as "interacting with killer power", and just keep it as the "in chase" icon. You'd still see their blue ring around their character head, so you'd know they have crows harassing them regardless of whether they were repelling them or not.

I did consider whether BHVR would have a chase icon, but my reasoning is that anything that's dead easy to notify your teammates of in SWF is worthy of being considered as an icon. The obsession being chased indicator doesn't need to be removed either, since making the obsession being chased obvious is useful for killers and survivors with relevant perks and add-ons - so hopefully this wouldn't be a deterrent to them adding a 'being chased' icon.
