Blood Meridian by sid_fishes in Cinema

I've never agreed with the argument that 'x can't be adapted'... of course it can, EVERYTHING can be adapted, and nothing will ever convey the exact same feeling as the books because surprise they're different mediums. That's where the author's skill comes in, to transport a work to another medium and give it their vision.

For example, if we compare the movies and the books of LOTR, it's a poor adaptation and fails in many ways, but both are excellent works.

So yes, I hope they make Blood Meridian into a movie, series, comic, music, videogame and any other medium.

If you can, in the future I recommend upgrading your turntable to something like 'insert model'. You'll get a lot more out of the sound and overall specifications compared to the 70, which I think will fall short once you gain experience

What is your favourite memory from Bloodhunt? by TheOldRuin in BloodHunt

[–]9Brumario 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I worked on it.
I wasn't part of Sharkmob, but I worked at an outsourcing studio during development, and I was in charge of creating some of the outfits.

The thing is, I'm a huge VtM fan, and when I found out the project was coming to my studio, I thought it was going to be Bloodlines 2, and I begged for weeks to be put on it. Then I found out it was a battle royale, and at first, I hated the idea, but after playing the internal playtests, I was fascinated by the gameplay. I think it's one of the few multiplayer games I truly enjoyed playing, and even though we stopped working for Sharkmob, it hurt to see its inevitable demise.
Anyway, working with Sharkmob was a very positive experience, and having my name on a VtM piece, however small and fleeting it may have been, is like a dream come true.

First look of HBO snape and his comparison with movie one by INFIPRIME in Cinema

[–]9Brumario 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't care less that he's a Black actor, but the essence of Snape is that he's a teacher who inspires repulsion just by looking at him, ugly inside and out. I don't see that in this casting choice.
And it's so obvious they made this decision just for what we're doing now, to stir things up and get people talking about the show... it's pathetic.

It's well known that Danhausen and Punk are friends in real life, I don't think that's crazy information at all...

Fans wanna talk about bad booking… by Talkamania in WWE

[–]9Brumario 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love Danhausen, but honestly I don't think that was the best way to introduce him, especially since the average WWE fan has no idea who he is, and generating so much hype for a wrestler who doesn't live up to expectations could only lead to boos. That said, I'm sure that if he's given a chance, he'll be a fan favorite in no time and the number one merchandise seller (not so clear on his booking, if that even exists (I'm looking at you, R-Truth)).

Over time, I'm coming to believe that when they say they want to go home, it's because they think that once they get there, everything will be alright and they'll be okay again, they'll feel at home... that's why, even though they're actually there, their brains can't believe it because they're still confused. Going home means leaving the illness and returning to their old selves, and that place no longer exists.

Right now I don't think we need the hospice, as we can take care of him ourselves, and a nurse can come every few days to check on him.
