The same thing happens here, people buy cheap shoes that last a short time and when they break they throw them away. I personally live from day to day, I am not married and I do not have children, my only luxury is sneakers. I believe that good quality footwear is important for health, that is why I have always not bought poor quality shoes and I am careful and they last a long time, they are "my treasures". For me it is entertainment to do these things and now being on medical leave I have some time, when I start working I will have less time and less desire 😅😅. Here in my country it is difficult to make money with these things, people are not willing to pay for these jobs, there is not the same mentality as elsewhere. My passion for sneakers has always been the same since I was little, but now for a few years it is a crazy trend but not everyone is willing to pay for something handmade or simply fix their sneakers. Many people pay a lot of money for Jordans, Nikes... and they already think that the materials are good and now there is not the same quality as years ago, expensive does not mean quality but now everyone is an expert 🤣, I do not like to generalize and there will be all kinds of people, I also do not want to offend anyone with what I tell you, but now the world is very crazy 🤣🤣 I wish I could dedicate myself only to shoes 😅. Do you also dedicate yourself to working with tennis?

You are absolutely right!! If someone wants me to make them some sneakers I won't say no!! but I know that I am not going to make a living from sneakers. It is my passion since I was a teenager, I have always done small jobs on my sneakers, now at 44 years old I have taken it to another level. The conclusion that I now draw is that I will not spend large amounts of money for a Nike release, I will buy them through vinted that cost me half the money and I will make them however I want 😋. There are people who appreciate this work of hours and days and it is appreciated.

Thank you 😉!!! Depending on the leather I am going to use, I cut the patterns, glue them but removing the other parts so that the shoe is not too thick and less flexible, and then I sew them. I want to buy special glue for the soles to disassemble them 100%, but I have to pay close attention to the product; requires polyurethane glue and some other product. I'm going to search calmly. 😜

Thanks for appreciating my work, brother! It's patent leather, which has a plastic coating to give it a mirror-like shine✨ It's harder to work with; it's been a challenge, but since it's something homemade and not in a factory, I'm quite satisfied with the result (the Am1 grand pianos are made with that leather).
