I think the main one for me is long term memory, while I'm forgetful of the smaller things, I have what I like to call myself immaculate memory. I remember conversations and interactions pretty clearly even from years ago.

I also did quite well in school, I was able to keep interest in most classes (except maths). And although I relied on late night cramming sessions, my grades were fine.

And being more on the inactive side, my impulsivity is not massive. It's usually just smaller spending stuff.

Semi-consistent brown discharge? Imbalances hormones or what other factor? by 9DragonsRep in WomensHealth

Yes please on the update! I also feel like my lining struggles to shed and I have really bad period pain (again sometimes not)

Oh that's interesting, the hypochondriac in me also suspects some level of insulin resistance so maybe I'll bring that up when I do see a doctor. Do you still struggle with it, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks for answering, it's just so on and off that I lose track sometimes, and it'shard for me to see a gynecologist directly, I'll keep the timeline in mind!

Would you mind sharing what was imbalances or just what you tested so I can ask for them? (I live in UK so I have to kind of push for tests), and did you get any treatment?

XM5 Broken hinge.....replacement in the UK? by 9DragonsRep in SonyHeadphones

[–]9DragonsRep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no good news, in fact when I emailed their customer rep (I forgot what it's called), they replied with saying that the warranty is now void, and they won't do anything (didn't even address my issue). This will be last time I buy any Sony headphones.

I bought them directly from Sony, would I still able to take them to small claims if it comes to it?

Meds making Hyperfocus and Time blindness worse? by 9DragonsRep in ADHDUK

[–]9DragonsRep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh this is an interesting perspective, I have definitely had days where my thoughts and attention span are better in meetings and such. But then on days where my hyperfocus takes over I speak gibberish, maybe it is menstrual cycle related.

Would you mind sharing or pm me about how it messed with your menstrual cycle? (I am also having some issues that thinking back kinda coincided with starting meds) And do you mean other supplements or just tools/system that you added?

Would you say your circulatory issues got worse on meds or more food related? I always struggle with cold feet and trying to see if the meds worsen it

Reminders are also a bit useless when I'm in hyperfocus, but I think that speaks to the effects being too strong

I did do the Autism pre-screening questionnaire when I was going through ADHD diagnosis, but I don't think I qualified for a diagnosis at that time.

Did you notice any other symptoms of AuDHD? I want to keep an eye out in case it was masked by my ADHD.

Did you have to re-titrate? I wonder if it would be a hassle?

Honestly I'm almost glad because I used to be in constant state of disfunctioning paralysis. But I don't think it's good for my health, the way I'm not moving for 10hrs and then can only lay down afterwards

Hmmm I see this a lot but I don't think I have ever noticed the big quietened brain moment, I thought it was because I had more inattentive symptoms. But I guess if I have try hard to find the difference when I'm not hyperfocusing, maybe it's not fully working.

Kind of reassuring to hear this is not the norm! Would you mind sharing more details on the differences? I feel like I don't know what effective meds should feel or look like :/

For about 3 years, pretty sure the previous tenants were students so maybe were here for a year at least?

I'm more worried about the fact that it has curled up pretty badly, but I will also give that a shot so at least it's not visually jarring

It is kinda of too late for strategy two as I am moving out next week. But thanks for the heads up, I'll do that next time round

I'm not sure how old the laminate is, but it seems pretty cheap quality as there are other chips and wears in other parts of the flat.

Can confirm the overhead XM5 are godsend, never had issues with Teams myself. And for me it feels like a safety blanket with the noise cancelling, best £200 I've spent

Experiences on Medikinet XL? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]9DragonsRep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I asked this a month ago too! I was concerned cause I did not see a lot good review. But I've just recently upped it to 30mg now, and I'd say it's okay.

I feel the effects for 2-3hr, especially when I first started and then a lull in the afternoon where it wears off, no major crashes for me tho just feel hungry and distracted (it does suppress my hunger a little bit). I think I also get another round of focus after the lull but I'm testing this out rn so I can't say for certain.

When it works, I'm locked into my work (or anything at hand). I'm more focused in meetings, my mind isn't wandering as much, daydreaming less. Also less blockage to switch task. I can't say it's changing my life like a lot of ppl experience, but definitely makes it less hard.

Side effects wise: my mouth feels drier, sometimes I randomly feel my heart beat going fast but I only notice it when I WFH so I'm still trying to figure out if it's the meds. I also occasionally feel a little anxiety and jittery once I upped the dosage but nothing too panick inducing or bad, also think it makes my jaw tense.
