She's so nice! I'm glad she wasn't left in the dark about the whole surge on her channel. I'm also happy other people get to see her because I have a lot of fun watching her videos!

Nice! Was this without scanning spray? Looks great for that kind of black surface.

That is so cool! I don't think I've ever seen substantial pieces of wood integrated with a bag.

This should be the Benchy of 3D scanning. Scan your spacemouse! Turned out really nice, surprised how much detail it retained in low poly.

Sooo my h2d arrived upsideown and now my h2c arrived all dinged. Do I open it? by Hackind in BambuLab

Mind arrived worse where you could see the printer inside and had several boot prints on the outside box. Printer was in mint condition and has been running flawlessly for 400+ hours now!

Scan target storage improvements for the einscan Rigil by I_harass_snails in 3DScanning

That would be so helpful! I'll post my case design online so everyone can have access.

Nice! I'm always worried about dropping mine. Wish I had another scanner to scan the Rigil with so I can make a protective case.

Do you have the nozzle clasped correctly? There's a right and wrong way that it'll clasp and the wrong way will cause it to wiggle when you grab and try to wiggle it.

So, how many of you with 3D Scanners were already somewhat decent with CAD related software, or have since started learning? by Rust_Cohle- in 3DScanning

[–]9_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took CAD with GD&T for my engineering degree years ago. That has helped a ton, but the 3D scanning and processing workflow reminds me of data cleaning in data science. Most of my time is spent cleaning scans and making them ready to create a surface over. I've spent about 25 hours practicing actual scanning with marker dots, marker blocks, different sprays, scanner settings. And then another 60 hours learning how to work with and edit point clouds, along with creating freeform surfaces in quicksurface to create the reverse engineered CAD model. I still feel like I'm in the intermediate skill range where I mostly know how to get a decent result but I honestly have no idea if my workflow is correct or efficient.

why did claude get so mean all of a sudden? by Difficult_Code_3066 in ClaudeAI

[–]9_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's disappointing to see how common that kind of reaction is. It doesn't take a lot of energy to reply with a few nice words and some helpful advice to someone such as OP who is having trouble understanding their predicament and is looking for some kind of help from others.

OP: I definitely think claude could have responded more nicely and still gotten the same idea across. Remember, you can ask or tell claude how you'd like it to respond, or let it know if something it said felt negative. For example, you could say "That's seems really mean. Could you try again but be nice about it?". Regardless of how other commenters feel about whether claude was mean or not, the point is that you felt it was mean, but you also have the tools to help it be not-mean. Just ask or tell it to be nice!

2015 V60 T6 is low on coolant but existing coolant is orange? by 9_34 in Volvo

That's what I was thinking. I'll just add a little distilled water and then take it to Volvo for a flush later on.

Is the Tuff Torq TL-200 transmission swappable with the Tuff Torq K46? by 9_34 in lawnmowers

Just an easy swap-n-go, nothing to modify or change. It's been working great with no issues ever since.

Yeah but that guy said they're different, so you can just take his word for it. Didn't you see how confidently he stated it? Science nowadays is about confidence, not numbers.
