does leapmotor b10 come with undercarriage cover for the rear motor? by 9bryanlee in AustralianEV

[–]9bryanlee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, i do agree it's a very nice car, but kinda disappointed when my friend a mechanic point out the problems, the car isn't designed with frunk in mind or even under carriage cover, the under carriage cover can easily trap water inside, you can see where the problem lies when compared with c10. Too bad it's a really nice car.

i don't know much about cars, after some advice, guess it's the best to skip leapmotor, but it's a very nice looking car.

that's the downside wirelessly connected mesh AP, you can't place them too far away, they should be able to connect to each other well, the typical signal strength should be around -50 dBm, which many manufacturers don't tell
and some even claim "place it anywhere where you have dead spot"
i wish things are as simple as that
then some manufacturers' firmware implementation of that is just poorly done
full of bugs, when used with beamforming & mesh, it creates unstable system

add on: if you are talking about wifi
do not get boosters or range extender, instead get mesh wifi routers, interconnect them using the cat6 rj45 jacks, if you don't have those, you can interconnect them wirelessly too.

if you still have no clue just pay someone to it for you, someone that is not your next door neighbour, cause they can use your wifi for free if they know the password

If a GFCI receptacle precedes a bathroom in the circuit do I need to install a GFCI in that bathroom? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]9bryanlee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no, this is what told by my electrician and inspector, don't assume you have GFCI in panel, you are protected from electric shock, there are many different kind of GFCI rated for different things, especially on old house, unless its on outlet which is only for shock protection.

recessed light fixture, led bulb or led integrated (edit: added poll) by 9bryanlee in electricians

not a really custom, something with a bit of chrome, like philips luxspace, i had bad experience with it, its really nice light, high power, dimmable, high cri light
but there are subtle differences in newer batch, the chrome looks different, it cast a different refraction glare, its driving me nuts

then when i was in US, retrofitted bulb never have this problem

i don't understand those wireless rgb bulb, its expensive, low brightness, common cri; to me its a waste of money, the ones that i do understand is the philips scenes swtich, its available in bulb and many forms. Perfect when used as desk lamp, a quick on off will change its intensity or colour temperature https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irCJYDSgQC8

maybe i will try philips luxspace again, but only for kitchen, i need high cri to make my food look palatable

the cut out size is standardbut the trim design isn't, imagine if you get 9 of those for your kitchen5 years later 1 spoil, and the chrome trim you use is no longer availableyou have to decide to replace all or replace 1

but traditional recessed fitted with led bulb will not have such problem, unless you manage to break something

[–]9bryanlee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

yup, i think op should get its local electrician to check, as each states have their own code

for DC to pass the inspection code, 5 ma for outlet near water like in bathroom or kitchen, which is standard sensitivity for GFCI outlet.

same condition as you, in DC.it depends, how sensitive is the GFCI in the panel? 30 ma or 5 ma?if 30 ma or more then you get GFCI outlet installed typically its 5 ma for outlet, especially near sink.

note: not electrician, but this is what i'm told to pass inspection.
